Restaurants Close to AK

I'm thinking on our AK day we might want to go to a restaurant that is close to AK at some point in the late afternoon for table service, and then go back to AK. Also, would we have to pay for parking twice? I'm not sure if this would be a convenient option.

It's not super convenient - the closest are the restaurants at AKL and only one (Sanaa) is open for lunch (assuming that's what you mean by late afternoon and not early dinner).
You would not have to pay for parking twice, you can just show your receipt from the morning to park again. Are there no options that appeal to you in AK?

Animal Kingdom lodge is a short bus ride away. You could do late breakfast at Boma- we did an 11:45 am and it was breakfast and lunch. Sanaa is open for lunch or you could do an early dinner at Boma or Jiko- not sure when they start serving- usually by 5. Off site restaurants may be a little more of hassle. There is a Rainforest Cafe at the AK park as well.

Yak & Yeti is inside AK, and it’s very good. It’s owned by Landry’s so their gift cards can be used there.

There are very good options inside Animal Kingdom, and if not, Animal Kingdom resort is only a short ride away.

I would also stay in the park and eat at Yak & Yeti. They have very good adult beverages and the food is pretty good. I really like the wok fried green beans!!

I was going to suggest this as well. Nomad is an oasis inside AK. Great food and great beverages. It's quite quiet and you can definitely make a meal out of a few of their small plates.
