Loved, loved, LOVED my meal at Palio - IMO by far the best Italian restaurant at WDW. Huge portions, great food, great service, nice quiet atmosphere. Enjoy your trip!!!
We stayed at the Swan on our last trip and ate at Kimono's, which had some of the best sushi we've ever had. The servers were excellent with my kids and so impressed they loved sushi so much. The service was wonderful. If you like sushi, don't miss it.
Had a really good BLT at the Dolphin Grill. They also have the best & biggest oatmeal-raisin cookies I've ever had. Caesar salad at the poolside Splash Grill was big & tasty. Tubbi's cheese pizza was probably the best we've had at WDW. They make it fresh while you wait. Also had a delicious serving of potato soup, a good deal at under $3. MHopkins2, what did you have at Palio's? My wife wants to go there for her birthday this trip (the big 50!). Have a great stay, cajungirl!
For dinner anyway, you can't go too far wrong with either Palio, or Shula's.
Plus--you're in walking distance of several other fine restaurants as well.
I had the lobster crepes - very good, lots of ricotta cheese with a nice light cream sauce - to start, and then the lobster tortellini. The tortellini hits my Top 5 dishes EVER list, it's just *wonderful* - huge chunks of lobster, fabulous fresh-made cheese tortellini, and a very rich, very thick garlic cream sauce. Out of this world! If you have a veggie-saurus in your party, my aunt had the pasta with morel mushrooms and ?pesto I think? and proclaimed it excellent as well.
