We are suprising my son for his birthday and taking him to Legoland for 1 day during our trip to WDW. We are renting a car for just the day and will be staying at CBR. We will probably eat lunch at Legoland. I'm looking for suggestions of somewhere to stop for breakfast on the way there (probably drive thru or fast food) and somewhere to stop for dinner (can be sit down or fast food). We've never rented a car in Orlando and not really familiar w/what's around the area.

You might want to just go west on 192 to reach US 27 which is where 192 ends going west, you'll find a bunch of places there,Panera,Sweet Tomatoes,Dennys,Cracker Barrel,Outback Steakhouse,Joes Crab Shack,Red Lobster,Giordanos pizza,Carrabas,Olive Garden,Longhorn Steakhouse,Flippers pizza,Bahama Breeze, once you go south on 27 there will be a Beef o Bradys,a Dennys,an Applebees, the three big burger chains,Subway.Once you pass I-4 on 27 there will be fewer places but the ones I remember are a Perkins, another Beef o Bradys,Sonnys BBQ,more Mickey Ds and BK's,Popeyes,I believe a steakhouse,a place called Crispers, some pizza places and a Hardees.Outside Legoland I believe is a Perkins and an Applebees.

For breakfast, I-4 to 27, along 27 you'll find just about every chain and family restaurant known. You'll pass at least two McDonalds and Burger Kings, a Checkers and a Hardees, all open for breakfast.

Coming back for dinner, again, plenty of chains (especially in Haines City and near Cyprus Gardens Blvd.). If you want something unique, consider Manny's Chop House, in Haines City. It gets huge lines, but the food is great. Otherwise, the usual suspects--Olive Garden, Chilis, Sonny's...

We stayed at WBC (right by Caribbean Beach) Honestly, the way you go from there to Legoland there isn't much there. You get on I-4 very quickly. However, there are plenty of exits off the interstate on the way with McDonald's.

We waited to have dinner until we got back and had dinner at Downtown Disney.

Mannys Chophouse on the US27 in Haines City for dinner - you can't make reservations but you can call ahead, which is recommended as it is very popular.

There's a Ruby Tuesday's right outside the gate. There's also a Perkin's across the way.

Thank you for all the suggestions. We like to eat at new places, especially something we don't have at home. I think we may just grab something in the food court at the hotel in the morning or hit up McDonalds. I looked at Manny's Chop House and that place looks really good, so we may try there. Does anyone know if it's easy to get to from 27?

It's right on the 27. Since you will be coming back from Legoland, travelling North on the 27, once you pass the exit for the Old Dixie Hway start looking out for it on the left-hand side. It is about a km past the exit.

If you know you are definitely going to go there, do call ahead or be prepared for a long wait.
