we spent 8 days at wdw - as always, we had a wonderful time - this was our 14th visit-i am new to this board tho i have been visiting this site over the last few years and found the input from everyone so helpful...hope my posts will, in turn, be helpful to you

there are 6 of us (all over 12) and we stay on site each visit at different hotels (beach club, yacht club, poly, port orleans/riverside, boardwalk and grand floridian) - we have eaten at so many places--- here are the main ones we enjoyed this trip:

kona (grade B+) - very good - we think the qualityand dollar amount are about on target- the mahi mahi, chicken wings, ceasar salad and teriyaki steak are all good -- the noodle bowl was not our favorite-
service is good - the restaurant can be a bit loud and because it is in an open area at the hotel, it is not an intimate dining experience-
very convienent to eat and then catch the monorail for a ride

earl of sandwich (grade A ) - we really like this restaurant - we eat one dinner here to help out with expenses - the soup and side salads are 95 cents each and the sandwiches are very good
we have never had a long wait (even when the line appeared long it moved quickly)

Germany (grade B) - food is good - the salad selection is very good if you like vinegar based items (which we all do) - the chicken soup is great and the sausages are also very good. there is enough variation for everyone to find something they like - the entertainment is fun
the atmosphere can be a busy and this is not an intimate dining experience

Beaches and Cream (grade B) - we end every trip here and always enjoy the food and the hustle and bustle - there are several of the wait staff who have been there for years so we catch up with them. we always get the burgers (i get the veggie burger) and a shake - very decent food and reasonably priced

Seasons 52 (grade A) - an off site restaurant about 15 min from wdw - great food and in the 15 dollar per person range - very fresh, changes the menu seasonally and each selection is under 500 calories. we really loved this restaurant - the 6 of us had a bill of about 152.00 (all adults - several of us had wine and 2 had beer)
each trip we eat one meal off site and this was one of the best we've had
(we've eaten at Mings, Pebbles, Mama Dellas, and several others in the orlando area)

Yakatori House and Morocco - lunches - both good and reasonable - i personally prefer Japan and enjoy sitting outside by the waterfall
Cosmic Rays, Toy Pizza, and Casey's Hot Dogs are also good lunch choices

Rose and Crown (grade C+) - great view of fireworks and so nice to sit outside - the service is good - the food, however, is average but still a pleasant experience overall (we've had the chicken pot pie - which is probably their best offering--the fish and chips which is okay and the corned beef sandwichs which are large and dry)

BOMA (grade A-) - always good and interesting food and plenty of choices even for picky eaters - nice wine selection - the atmosphere is also interesting but can be busy and a little crowded
this is one of our favorite restaurants and it is always fun to walk around the lobby of the hotel, sit at the firepit or watch the animals from the deck

we also ate in celebration but i cannot remember the name of the restaurant - it used to be Max's I think - they serve meatloaf, fried chicken, etc - we would not return to this restaurant - the food is good but too heavy for our tastes (tho my husband really liked the meatloaf and the serving was huge)
celebration has a small downtown area that is nice to stroll through and go in some of their shops

i hope this helps someone who is getting ready to go---i have about 11 months until we go again at thanksgiving so i will help keep the magic alive through your posts!

Big thumbs up from our family on this one too. We stayed at Saratoga Spring last week. DTD was a short walk away, and so we ate here three times. It was really crowded (everyplace was), but it's such a well run restaurant that it wasn't a problem.

They had a couple of guys in suits greeting people as you got near the front of the line, and answering any questions. So (most) people were prepared to order when they made it to the register. And your sandwiches were ready moments after you paid. Very impressive!

But that wouldn't matter if the food wasn't any good. But it was, especially the Beef 'n' Bleu sandwich.
