Restaurant Reviews with Pics!

This trip we dropped our son off at UCF so we did not do any Parks. We did do some nice restaurants. To celebrate the final night together we ate at our favorite...CG and the Sushi Bar. It was incredible. Here are the pics.

Hope things are doing okay - I know you'll miss your son, but at least he is going to school in Sunny Florida - just think of all those wonderful trips to AKL you'll be able to make now! You have an excuse!

The pictures from California Grill look phenomenal! We've never eaten there, but have ressies in store on our upcoming trip in November. We are bringing John's parents to show them OUR Disney! After the wonderful trip we had (inspired by your pictures!) last December, we are spending our first four days at AKL Concierge, of course. Then we are headed over to the Poly Concierge, as the CR is totally sold out! Thanks for all the inspiration!

I'm sure dropping your son off at college must have been very emotional. I bet he'll do great and I'm sure you are looking forward to seeing him on your visits!

The CG has an actual Sushi Bar? Not just order from the menu.
I love sushi, but I can't eat shellfish, I like the tuna and salmon sushi, it looks terrific. Can you just go to the sushi bar?

As a UCF graduate, I can say that he's chosen a great school to attend. Hope he does well.

CRCrazy - How are you doing? I wil be staying at the AKL Concierge in Oct/Nov also. I hope we get to see each other again. We will be there from 10-23 until 11-6. Let me know when you will be there and we can arrange to say hello. We sure do miss our son but we talked last night and after his first week in college he says he LOVES it! That makes us feel much better and we can't wait to visit him!

travelgoddess - Yes, it only has enough for 4-5 people but it is great to interact with the chef and she will make requests athough you can order from the menu. We ordered Yoshi's Deluxe Sushi Platter for $22.75 and my DH and I split it. We told her we love eel and she made us a full platter just of that along with other items we told her we liked. Our son ordered the Shushi Sampler for $11.75.

I also had a glass of wine and we ordered 3 desserts. I had the Strawberry, White Peach and Morello Cherry Sorbets with Watermalon Nectar, DS had Warm Peach and Cherry Taryt with Blood Peach Ice Cream and my DH had Warm Valrhona Chocolate-Banana bread Pudding with Banana Rum Ice Cream. They were all DELICIOUS!


Yes, you can just go the Sushi Bar. We requested the Shushi Bar on our PS.

Kitster - Congrats on your UCF graduation. We absolutely LOVE the school. How long ago did you graduate? Brian is attending the Burnett Honors College.

nutz4dzny - I graduated back in '78, long before there was a student union area, football team or Burnett Honors College I love the picture of you and your son showing the Subway in the background with the UCF crest on the floor. The only crest in campus when I was there was in the Engineering building, just below the Foucault pendulum. Those were the days...............
