Hello. My family traveled last week on the free DDP. Here are my opinions on our choices. These are just my opinions - you may disagree. I was traveling with DH, DD10 and DS10 (so the kids were on the adult meal plan). My kids are NOT picky eaters. . . they like spinach and broccoli so there meal experiences may not be typical for other kids!

SATURDAY - Ragland Road in DTD - I was really looking forward to this because I had read so much about it. My expectations were very high. DD and I ordered the fish and chips. They were awful - cold, greasy and tasteless. DS and DH ordered different meats and were not impressed. Our server was not attentive. On a positive note, the manager noticed that we did not eat our food and asked what was wrong. She credited us with a CS meal (which we did not have time to use) but I appreciated the gesture. Also, we all got different desserts and they were all fabulous. Awesome bread pudding.

SUNDAY at MK –
CS Lunch at Cosmic Rays – good for a quick table service meal. The rotisserie chicken and mashed potatoes were tasty.

TS Dinner at CP – the hot food was not as good as I remembered from three years ago, but the fresh fruit, salad bar, and dessert bar was fine. Good service and my kids loved the Pooh characters. Overall – not great food.

ACK! I completely forgot to try the Dole Whip. . .rats. That was one of my goals.

MONDAY at EPCOT –
CS at Four Seasons / the Land – lots of good choices. Food seemed fresh. Salads and sandwiches were plentiful. A big hit with all of us.

TS at Teppan Edo – Very busy but we were seated within 10 minutes of our ADR time. Excellent service and good food. DS’s favorite meal of the trip.

TUESDAY –
Breakfast at Chef Mickey’s – Hot food was fair, fruit, pancakes and pastries were good. GREAT character interaction and good service.

CS at Wolfgang Puck Express – good (not great) food, excellent service (especially since it was a counter service!) I thought DS’s pizza was really greasy (Ewwww) but DD’s chicken alfredo was good as were the sandwiches.

WEDNESDAY at Hollywood –
TS Dinner at Sci-Fi – I had already read that the food was bad so I wasn’t expecting much but I wanted kids to see the atmosphere. They loved the theme and appearance of the restaurant. My expectations were low so the food was better than I expected. DS got the ribs and liked them. The milk shakes were okay but just like any other milk shake to me. The apple crisp was awesome. Great service.

THURSDAY -
TS Dinner at ‘Ohana – my favorite meal. Family style – bread, salad, noodles and veggies, and lots of fire-grilled meats including chicken, beef, pork and shrimp. Bread pudding for dessert. Great service and some fun extra entertainment for the kids – although my daughter thought the singer got annoying after awhile. I liked the food and the atmosphere. Definitely NOT for vegetarians though.

FRIDAY –
CS lunch at Bakery in Norway – Yum! A total surprise. Very good fresh sandwiches, salads and pastries and large portions – as if we didn’t have enough food already. I would definitely eat here again. And the school bread – as recommended by fellow DISers. . .mmmmmm!

TS Dinner at Chefs de France – great service. Good food. . .meat was a little overcooked, but good. Chef Remy did appear. Very cute.

Overall, we had a good experience with the dining plan. It freed us up to try new things that we might have otherwise missed. I am the kind of person that worries about every nickel and dime. . .so for me it was fun not to have to worry about what we were ordering. The restaurants were busy but we had good service for the most part and were seated within a few minutes of our ADR time. That said, the parks did not seem overly crowded so I am sure that this impacted our minimal wait times.

Thank you for your reviews, completely agree with RR, we went in June and it was just horrible.
