ROTD.....3-12

Earl of Sandwich

I am headed off to AZ until 3-22, so when I return we will get back to ROTD

Haven't eaten there, was going to (we were inside) but it was so packed we turned around and left. Got seated at Rainforest right away.

Have a nice time in AZ Nancy.

thanks, Heidi, I will.

EoS is our very favorite CS place in all WDW.
We eat there multiple times every trip.
Don't let the crowds stop you, Heidi. They move really fast!! Never been in line more than 10 minutes.
Great sandwiches, salads, and great prices too.

EoS is my all time favorite!!!! A trip to Disney isn't complete without a trip there. Every thing I've ordered has been great. I love the potato salad. I wish I had an EoS close to home, I love it that much.

Thats good to hear, thanks Nancy. We will be going to Downtown Disney this trip so we can stop in.

CA Grill -- Once in probably 2002. Lousy service. Good food, but SMALL portions. (And expensive.) We spent around $80 and left as hungry as we went in.:confused3 :rotfl2: Only time we have left a Disney restaurant and went and got something to eat afterwards.

Rose n Crown -- Once -- New Years Day 2005. Bad service. Mediocre food. Never returned.

EoS. Like them. Even ate there just last Saturday. Always good. But sometimes just want more than a sandwich, and what's in DTD? :confused3 So we go other places. Their breakfast isn't as good as it use to be. It's okay now.

ROTD.....3-9

Chefs de France

Not since our honeymoon! You can see it wasn't a must to go back to! :goodvibes
ROTD.....3-10

California Grill

Never tried it...
ROTD.....3-11

Rose and Crown

Tried this for the first time last year. It was good--I got my fish and chips fix. I'd go back.

Never been there either.

Have fun Nancy!

OOh I missed California Grill, we eat there every trip (plus at the one at Disneyland Paris every trip too.) We have had two wedding anniversary meals there plus a meal there one Christmas eve. We really like the food there and have always had wonderful meals and service. We always eat there during Wishes so we can watch that too. They serve my favourite wine there too which is a bonus!!

 from AZ.

So QOTD 3-13

What kind of local festivals and such does your town have and do you attend?
(we are going to the Ostrich Festival tomorrow :rotfl: Went last year and it was pretty fun. The ostrich races were a hoot)

Glad you made it to AZ safely. Where abouts in AZ are you? I have a friend who lives in Kingman and I visited there a few years ago.

Our town has the Highland Gathering, a big Scottish festival (there is a large Scottish population in our town), they have Scottish dancing, traditional Scottish sports games etc. We also have the town carnival in the summer which we attend. Our drama society usually has a float in the parade so I am sometimes on that. Then on November 5th we have Bonfire night, a huge firework display is set off around the towns boating lake and a huge bonfire is lit with a guy on the top. This is a traditional English event and our town does this really well.

Our house is in Chandler....sw of Phoenix. :sunny:
Can't wait to actually move here for good!!

Hi Nancy

We have a musical festival every year, but only went once. There is also a balloon festival, went once. A renaissance festival, never been. And also a Scottish festival, never been.

Mine too, Heidi. I used to do it a lot....not as much anymore. I eat too many of them

LOVE to bake! Just made sugar cookies yesterday with a friend that looked like melting snowmen. (microwaved marshmallow on top, then decorated) Turned out pretty cute!

Just heard of a cookie cutter shop not too far away--they have tons of them and will make anything, too! Have to make a trip.

QOTD.....3-15

What was the last movie you saw in a theater?
Are there any movies coming out that you are looking forward to?

I'm kind of embarrassed to admit it was Alvin and the Chipmunks! We hosted a child over Christmas break and he picked it out!

Princess & the Frog. Which was great by the way. Before that, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. I'm the designated aunt--I take the kids to the movies mom & dad don't want to see.

I want to see How to Train a Dragon, Wimpy Kid Diary.

For me, it was last weekend, Alice in Wonderland (great!)
Going to see it again today with DD.

Looking forward to Sorcerer's Apprentice!!
