We just got back from our trip to the world. We were a party of 3 (me, DH, and DD6). We rated the restaurants from 1 to 10, 10 being the best ever!!
Chef Mickeys We always start our trips with a dinner here. It was delicious as always. The prime rib was good (I was able to get well done pieces, which made me happy.) The mashed potatoes cant be beat. We also tried broccoli with feta cheese and olives, honey chicken, peel and eat shrimp, salad bar and desserts. DD had pizza, macaroni and cheese, ham and salami from the salad bar. The characters were good too. We saw Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, Goofy, and Donald (some more than once) and it was timed so that they came throughout the meal. Our server brought out a cupcake for DDs birthday. She got extra hugs and kisses for the birthday. We will definitely go back - 8
1900 Park Faire Cinderellas Gala Feast was good. This was our first time here for dinner. We enjoyed prime rib, smashed sweet potatoes, lasagna, chicken piccata, broccoli, maple carrots, turkey, stuffing and the cold strawberry soup. The brownies were delicious and so was the apple cobbler with vanilla sauce. DD had hot dogs, pizza, sweet potatoes, carrots and turkey. We saw Cinderella and the Prince. They were OK. (They seemed a little bored and the dinner had just opened. Not a good start) On the other hand, the mice and the Fairy Godmother couldnt have been nicer. We will definitely go back here too. I say 9, DH says 8.
Princess Storybook Breakfast in Norway This was the only character breakfast that we planned this trip. Muffins, cinnamon rolls, melon and fruit dip were brought out first. They were pretty good. A skillet with eggs, bacon, sausage, and cheesy potato casserole was brought out next and refilled with whatever you wanted. We liked the breakfast, especially the potatoes. We had good characters Mary Poppins, Princess Aurora, Belle, and Mulan (who is the one we really wanted to see). Our server was Beate, who was so sweet. She saw it was my DD birthday the day before and brought her out a troll cookie to decorate, along with a certificate that everyone signed and wrote Happy Birthday in Norweigen. She was just as cute as any of the princesses there. We would go back here 8.
Hollywood & Vine We walked in around 130pm and they took us right away We had flank steak, turkey, sweet potatoes, salad and chicken. My DD had chicken fingers, mac and cheese and turkey. The brownies were very good and so was the sundae bar. We had Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip, and Dale in their Hollywood outfits. Good character interaction here. We were disappointed to hear this was stopping. This was DHs favorite buffet. He says 9, I say 8.
Whispering Canyon Café This was the first time we have eaten here. We had a really good time. Our server was very low key, but we enjoyed all of the hijinks around us. We had the ketchup incident at our table and my DD participated in the pony race around the restaurant. My DH and I had the all you can eat skillet. We liked the chicken, pulled pork, and apple vinagrette salad dressing. The corn bread and potatoes were also good. We ate here our last night at WDW and it was a fun way to end a great trip. We want to come back here again 8.
Pizzafari I think this place gets overlooked. We eat here everytime we are at the Animal Kingdom. We got 2 Hot Deli Sandwiches and a kids pizza meal. Its always good. We will definitely be back 9.
Pinocchios This place has gotten better. We actually ate here twice this trip. We had burgers, hot dogs, and fries. They have a good fixings bar now, with mushrooms, onions, and cheese sauce (good for fries). We would eat here again 7.
Caribbean Beach Resort Food Court We ate here three times over our trip. We had pizza, burgers, chicken fingers and tenders, grilled cheese, turkey sandwiches, and brownies. The kids chicken fingers are served in a plastic bucket with a shovel. The food was pretty good. (Its food court food, after all) and we seemed to be there when it wasnt too crowded, so it worked good for us. We would eat here again 7.
