We just passed our 180 day mark, and I am online researching to set some restaurant ressies up for our October trip. We are looking to do some new places this year - there are just too many options to go to the same places every time. It is hard to break that habit once you have really found a place you like, it's not like we can go anytime we want.

The first habit we are breaking is BOMA. This will be our third year staying at AKV, and every vacation we have celebrated our arrival with a dinner at BOMA. As much as we like it, we just have to try something new. Thinking about Sanaa, but not sure yet.

Everything else is open, our day at the F&W fest is spent just picking our way around, so we dont plan dinners on that day. We usually do a Wed or Thurs in EPCOT to avoid the weekend crowds.

One tradition we wont break is the final evening, we like to get a ressie at Cape May Cafe and then spend the evening on the Boardwalk watching the shows and then seeing the fireworks in EPCOT. Plus - it gives us a good parking spot at the Beach Club, we rent a car and it is impossible to park over there anymore.

So - we do get a one bedroom and cook in the room a few times, so we usually eat out 3 or 4 of the 7 nights. We always do breakfast in the room and usually bring some snacks into the parks and get away without lunch.

Send on your suggestions - some of the places we are thinking of is Whispering Canyon (at VWL) - seems like our daughter would really like that. Beyond that - we are open to suggestions.

Thanks!

Can you fill us in on your party? Size? Ages? Food Tastes?

We get stuck in the rut of eating the same places too. It's hard not to when you know what you like.
Our Top Picks are (in no certain order just park location)
The Plaza
Crystal Palace
Liberty Tree Tavern

Nine Dragons
Garden Grill

Tusker House

Mama Melrose

Raglan Road
Wolfgang Puck Express

Cape May

There is only two adults in our party. I don't know if that would affect choices for your family. We are trying some new places this Sept...fingers crossed! :thumbsup2 AND we kept some of our old faves too.
If you have any additional questions about our choices let me know I would be happy to answer them. Good Luck!

We travel with a nine year old and some of our favorites - in no order but memory:
1900 Park Fare for character breakfast
Kona Cafe
Coral Reef
Mama Melrose
Good luck!

Our favs are Ohana, Yak & Yeti, Crystal Palace, Boma and Wolfgang Puck Express.

We too are going in Oct 14th-23rd 9 nights. we are paying for the DDP since those dates are not offered yet. We already have 6 ressies and I am doing research for the last 3. You are correct that it is tough, I want to go to new places, but have to be careful that the menu accomodates the entire family. Heres what I have sofar.
Open Fri 14th
Tusker Breakfast Sat 15th
Raglan Road Dinner Sun 16th
LeCellier Lunch Mon 17th
1900 Park Breakfast Tue 18th
Open Wed 19th
MMR Fantasmic Pk Thu 20th
Open Fri 21st
Kona Cafe Breakfast Sat 22nd
Open Sun 23rd

Since we really dont like making ressies on arrival or departure days I am thinking of doing a Signature or a HoopDee on wed or friday and another Dinner or lunch the last open day. The problem the HoopDee menu doesnt really work for us. I just had gastric bypass surgery so Fried Chicken and ribs is not a good idea. We already have 3 breakfasts planned so this is a tough decision. I have literally been looking through food pics for days trying to decide. May do Via Napoli on Friday so that leaves the signature or the HoopDee what other show/dinners are available?
reply with any opinions.
