Restaurant questions

Hi, apologies .... I'm sure this info is out there somewhere but I can't find it!

Does anyone have any recent info on Plaza Gardens and/or Restaurant des Stars? Are they both still buffet? Can you book at either/both (I'm thinking yes for Plaza Gardens, no for RDS?). Does anyone know whether there is any special dinner on at Plaza Gardens for new year's eve?

We're looking to book somewhere for NYE (not sure whether evening dinner, or go for a late afternoon time instead, or maybe even lunchtime meal!!) but not any of the expensive special NYE meals. We really like RDS but would prefer to be able to book as we know how busy it will be, so were thinking maybe Plaza Gardens instead?

Also is there anywhere that has info about what times the characters are at Cafe Mickey? We need to get DD's birthday meal booked as well

Yes, they are both still buffets and you can book for both.

I don't think there is a special meal on at Plaza Gardens on NYE. We don't really want to book one of the expensive meals either as we just can't justify the cost!

The characters are at Cafe Mickey from 12-3 and then from about 6 onwards

For New Year's Eve, I guess we need to make a decision as to what time we want to book, and which park we're likely to be in, then!

And thanks for the character info - again we'd better decide whether to go for lunch or dinner

Thanks again - we've booked Cafe Mickey with birthday cake (29th at 5.30pm - characters are out at 6pm) and Restaurant des Stars (31st at 6pm).

My husband caused some confusion though when he asked to book "Remy's restaurant". The CM had no idea what he was talking about ... "you know, the one where Remy the rat lives"!! In the end he had to call up and ask me what Remy's restaurant is actually called - he's been there 3 times before but had no idea!!
