Restaurant Questions

We are traveling with my sil (her family's first trip) and they mentioned two restaurants we haven't been to and are not familiar with. One is Olivia's in Old Key West and the other is the Sci Fi Diner at MGM. Does anyone have reviews of these? We need to decide if we are going to eat with them those nights or opt for something different.

Are you traveling with small kids, even ones who are easily frightened? Personally I liked the SCi Fi, but my 7 year old did not at all. The movies they showed, at least in 2001, were scary to her. They were old flicks from the 1950's with spacemen and aliens, and old monster movies with robots. She didn't like that at all. The atmosphere was cute, sitting in a booth that looked like a car sitting in a drive-in movie, but like I said my daughter was not amused. HTH

Thank you! Yes, we will have a 18 month old, 3 yo, 4 yo and 5yo in the group. I will definately let my sil know about the scary movie!

Haven't eaten at SciFi, but have eaten at Olivia's...we were just there in January and the food, atmosphere and service was excellent!

We love breakfast at Olivia's. We leave our son sleeping in the villa (he's 12) and my husband and I head over for breakfast.

We haven't eaten at Olivia's, but we've been to Sci Fi with a 4 year old, and he loved it! He absolutely adored the car and the flicks. He did order a hotdog, which he usually didn't eat, and he wouldn't eat it. We thought he just didn't want it after all, but my husband decided not to let it go to waste and promptly changed his mind after one bite. It was not good at all........I tried it too. We both had burgers, which were fine. We are going back now with two sons, one will be just 4..........but we won't let them order hot dogs this time!
