Restaurant questions on times and fireworks

Hi, everyone I am the unofficial planner for my family's trip starting the end of November. By the way there are 6 of us all adults, will that be a problem for reservations? I was just wandering what are good times during the evening to make table reservations, does it really matter. And what restaurants are there views of the fireworks and what time should we be there to see them at the restaurants. Plus I know this was asked some, but what are your favorite one credit table restaurants. Sorry, one more thing, I know you can share your meals, but is there enough for two people usually, and then what did you do with the extra credits(breakfast or extra dinners or what). Sorry it is so long, any responses would be helpful. Thanks so much.

I *think* you can book 180 days in advance. I wouldn't leave it too close to the day you go though...a couple days ago I booked breakfast at Boma for Feb 13 and I got the last table. When I booked some dinners in December, there was no problem getting a table. This is my first trip though, others will have better answers probably!

I can help a little--. The two best spots for the fireworks are California Grill and Narcoossees. Both have nice views, and both have outside areas where you can watch the fireworks in case your table isn't at the window. We find that eating about an hour before fireworks time is good--but don't worry if your meal runs into fireworks time as all you need to is just get up, watch the fireworks, then resume your meal.
We're not big eaters but find that most meals at either of these restaurants are perfect for one person--would be too small for both of us to share. But that's us---
And 6 people should pose no problem for reservations--we've been a group of 6 twice at CG and was no problem whatsoever.

We loved the fireworks view from the Cali Grill. Both California Grill and Narcoosee's are 2 TS credits, though.

Whether the meals are big enough to share REALLY depends on your eating habits. For my husband and I, the only meals we could NOT comfortably share were the CS lunches in the parks. When on the dining plan, because you get appetizer and dessert as well as your entree, we could have EASILY shared any of our table service meals. But, I confess, I am a VERY light eater. We did NOT share TS meals since it was just the two of us and our first trip to the world, but are certainly planning to next year. (Examples: we ate dinners at Cali Grill, Teppanyaki, 50's Prime Time, Kona Cafe and Le Cellier, we also had breakfast at CRT. The only place we couldn't have shared was at CRT, and I don't know if they allow you to share there anyway.) Many, many others have said that meals at all of these places are NOT big enough to share. What tips it for us is the appetizer and dessert.

What to do with the extra credits? We will eat at signature restaurants or have an extra meal.

Best 1 TS meals? Le Cellier (I think, hands down). We will NOT do Teppanyaki again, as I thought it was pretty standard habachi fare - but that's just us (many disagree with me!) On the other hand, I LOVED 50's PT, and it is hardly high cuisine - perhaps those last two say something about my taste? I will point out that Coral Reef has gone to 1 TS, but I have never eaten there, so cannot give an opinion as to how good it is.

Check out the many dining reviews that appear on the boards - they are usually very informative (and entertaining!)

Have fun planning!
