Hey guys,

I'm doing some initial data collection for an upcoming project, some of the key data is some of the restaurant prices around the Disney area.

For accuracy sake can any confirm whether or not the prices listed on the official menus published on Disney's website includes the tax?

For example if a steak dish is priced at $22.99 on the menu; on your bill would you get charged for the $22.99 + tax?

If so, what is the current tax rate that you would pay on these items?

Thanks!

Prices on the menu don't typically include tax and tax is 6.5%.

Also be aware that for buffet locations, the WDW web site will show a price range - most often "$15.00 - $35.99". This confuses a LOT of people - it does NOT mean that the children's price is $15 and the adult price is $35.99, it just means that the price falls somewhere in that range, whether it's $16.99 or $34.99.

So when Chef Mickey's dinner was showing as "$36.00 - $59.99", there was no small amount of panic here with folks who thought the price there had been raised to almost sixty bucks.

That is quiet annoying that they don't list the prices on the website for these; I guess Disney want to be able to change the price with ease. Those types of things allears.net is a blessing. Finding also that some of the newer restaurants don't have prices on the menus either, or the menu just isn't there. Same story I would guess with being able to change the prices at a whim.

Be careful with All Ears as well - sometimes their prices have tax included (big tipoff - price doesn't end in "99"), and sometimes it includes the "seasonal upcharge". And sometimes they don't.

So if you see a buffet price like 30.88, a little math will show you that the price happens to be 28.99 plus tax.

When dining in WDW, the only way to save a small fortune is too......start with a large one:goodvibes. Only kidding.

Either way it is still very expensive/overpriced...then you also have too include the tip, which is suggested to between 18-20%...(this suggestion appears on your bill...in case you are unable to do the math, Disney will do it for you.)That always annoyed the bejesus out of me
