Restaurant Poll Series: Garden Grill

Yea for me...

We have been there twice - 2 years apart and had a great time both years.

Food is good. Characters were great, saw them all 3 or 4 times - tons of photos and hugs, wait staff was all really nice, and we weren't rushed along at all

They even came to chat with my daughter who was concerned by the prairie 'Fire' off in the distance and the animals getting out on time

We ate there once and we really enjoyed ourselves. The food was excellent, the service was also excellent (and very funny too), and the character interaction was just awesome. My DH and I were celebrating our anniversary while vacationing at WDW, therefore we had on our "Happy Anniversary" buttons, the server came over with our dessert and started singing (in an extremely loud voice so everyone could hear) "This is the Night" from Lady and the Tramp. After he was done, he got applauds coming from the entire restaurant. It was so sweet and so embarrassing at the same time, we will never forget that moment.

While the food may not be up to par as some of the other TS options, it's a must do for us simply due to the wonderful characters. SOOO much better than any of the other character meals. They have time to play with the kids, and the kids really get to enjoy them rather than a quick "take your picture and on to the next table" that happens at so many of the meals. And really, the food isn't bad either, it's certainly enjoyable and we all find something we like!

I am glad to see the poll showing good results. We will be trying the Garden Grill for the 1st time in 2 weeks. Thanks for the poll as I was having 2nd thoughts about keeping this reservation.

A yea for me. It's the best character meal for our 3 year old!

The "private" layout of the booths due to the round setup of the restaurant keeps things relaxed and prevents the distraction caused by him being able to see the characters all the time (you really don't see them except when at your booth and the tables on either side). This isn't quite so effective at the tables but it still works to some extent.

For whatever reason, being the size of the restaurant or lack of distractions as they move around, we usually see the characters at least twice during our meal, sometimes three times.

And, the food is good too (which is more than I can say for other character meals)!
