Well I thought I had everything figured out then a dinner Le Cellier reservation opened up so now I need to eliminate something! But that has me second guessing the rest of my day/nights as well. There are still alot of choices for my dates, so that makes it even harder to decide!

This is the first trip for me, DD9, and DS7 and we are going in September after Labor Day. DH can't come, so I'm the only adult. We are staying at Beach Club for 7 nights. I picked BC to be close to Epcot because my kids are majorly into geography and love different cultures (and are open to different foods). So I'd like to eat there alot. We are also on the DxDP, so we have plenty of TS credits (but am only planning 2 TS a day for most days). Right now I have 2 MK nights planned, HDDR one night, Fantasmic one night, Epcot two nights, and Cape May at our resort one night. But I'm second guessing the Cape May and wondering if I should do another Epcot night instead (since it's so close). My days always include an afternoon break at the hotel and some of my dinners are early ones. So they aren't all late nights.

Please help me decide the following based on what you think my kids would like the most:

1. Rose and Crown 7:45 ADR OR Le Cellier for dinner? I already have a lunch ADR at Le Cellier a different day, so it wouldn't be my only chance to eat there (but I think we'd prefer dinner to lunch at LC). To be honest the R&C menu just looks OK to me, but I figure it would be worth it for a good view of Illuminations (even if we can't sit on the patio, at least we could go to the viewing area I hear about). But if I do LeCellier that night, then I could cancel my lunch ADR there and do a different restaurant for lunch. We'd just find a place to watch Illuminations (but with 9 and 7 year old kids, I don't think they'll want to stake out a spot and wait for 30 minutes).

2. Cape May dinner one night (since we are staying there), or a different Epcot restaurant? This night will be evening EMH at Epcot so it will be crowded (and MK closes at 7 that night, so Epcot will be even more crowded because it's the only park open after 7:00). I already have 2 other nights planned for Epcot, so this would be the third if we go there. I'm thinking it should just be a 'resort' night and we have a long day the next day. But the E EMH at Epcot have my tempted as well and it would give us a chance to fit another 'country' in for dinner.

3. Marrakesh or Chefs de France for lunch one day? I think my kids will love the belly dancing at Marrakesh but CdF sounds good too. I don't think my kids will care all that much about Remy though, so that's not a major thing.

We are already also doing Biergarten for one dinner and Coral Reef for one lunch, so I do have lots of Epcot places planned. If this is Epcot overkill, I will definitely readjust during the week and cancel whatever ADRs I need to. But when I gave my kids the choices, they really wanted to go to every country and eat!

I just need help with the 3 options above to finallize it all.

TIA!

1. Rose and Crown was good, but the Illuminations view was very very smokey! Maybe it was just the night that I was there and the direction the wind was blowing, but we found better spots on our own. Also, the "viewing area" is open for all guests of the Pub, so when we took our kids down there the people in front of us were all smoking and having a very "adult" time. Which is totally fine, just not what we wanted to be around. I hate having to explain words to the kids! ;)
So for this option I chose Le Cellier.

2. I will be dining at Cape May in January and am SUPER excited! I think you stick with Cape May. You for sure need a night at your own resort.

3. #3 is easy. Cancel your Le Cellier lunch ADR since you will be eating dinner there and replace it with either Marrakesh or Chefs. That way you do both! Chefs is our first dinner every trip and I don't think that DH would let us leave WDW without eating there. I've heard very good things about Marrakesh, and am looking forward to trying Tangerine for a good CS.

Hope this helps!!

We are eating at Chefs and Marreska next week. I will try and pop back on and give you a TR about each restaurant.

1. Rose & Crown
2. None of our family has cared for the food at Cape May we would do another Epcot meal especially with Via Napoli being open and the possibility that Hacienda will be open by then.

3. Chefs (my kids choice for the food they are too old to truly care about Remy)

Thanks to you all for taking the time to read through my long post and reply!

That is good to know about the smoke at R&C. I hadn't thought about that.

I guess it all boils down to picking the top 6 restaurants we want to go to between Epcot and Cape May. That is so hard since this is our first trip! It will also most likely be our 'only' trip for many years to come so I want to make the most of it all!

Thanks again!
Kim

I would pick Le Cellier, and so would my kids. They could make a meal out of that pretzel bread!:lmao:

I would skip Cape May and go to Tutto Italia in Epcot! It is a fantastic restaurant and my kids favorite, and mine too!;). Or try the new restaurant in Italy.

Stick with Marrakesh, it will be something different for them to experience. You could then walk over to France and have some crepes or pastries for dessert.
