Restaurant Menus

As a rule, who do you think has the most accurate, up-to-date menus? We all know how precise *cough*cough Disney's site tends to be and I am noticing differences between the menus they have, touring plans, allears and the menus posted here.

I am deciding between two locations on a few nights and an entrée I would absolutely love is listed on one site but not the other. I would hate to make a decision based on the incorrect information. For example, there is a chicken dish I have enjoyed before at The Wave. On one site it is described the same way I was served it this year and on another it has different sides and a different sauce. There is a salad listed on two of the posted menus. There are entrees on one menu that are completely absent on the others. Etc. etc. Every site has a different menu!

Does anyone know which site is the best one for the current menu?

Literally every time we visit, there are menu changes that are not listed online. I always check before we leave just to be sure our favorites are still on there but there is at least one TS every trip that changes entrees/apps/desserts where it is not listed online. I notice that in appx two weeks after we return, the changes are posted. I always look at the Disney website for menus./...they are the most up to date. Other websites have menus listed but it could be from months or years ago. Use Disney. I just always go in knowing that things can change and will change lol! Have the best time!

Allears was completely wrong for several of our restaurants - Disney website was actually correct (I was shocked!). They were always my go-to but we relied on them too heavily and were somewhat disappointed a couple of times.

(we just returned 2 weeks ago)

ETA: for instance, All Ears still has pork at 'Ohana, not chicken. Disney lists chicken. We were hoping for pork! :)

Plus, arguably, if you decide based on menus at 180 days for an ADR, changes are highly likely in the interim.

I don't think making a choice based on a single item is a great idea at any restaurant unless you can decide day-of, and a Disney ADR is not generally last minute.

I completely agree.

Yes, I know. I have just over 90 days before the trip, my daughter and I are the only ones going at a "slower" time with no free dining and there are still plenty of ADR's available for the places I am deciding between. I've already made them for the hard- to- get places. We stay CL so I had a few requests in with IPO for alternatives and in a few cases they booked both ADR's so I also have a night that has two dinner ADR's and need to decide between them.

The key with All Ears and even WDW Info is to check the updated date. Sometimes when I menu change happens, they may not be updated for quite a while. I have had that happen before a trip.

I have not really been since I realized that WDW now has a lot of the information on their site, but just from looking over the last few months, they do seem to update.

Disney website. But they state, of course, that menus and prices are always subject to change without notice.

I'd actually side-eye The Wave if their menu didn't change more often than it could be updated online, given their alleged focus on seasonal food and sustainable agriculture. That is the very definition of a menu that either changes all the time, or that is totally off-mission.

Completely agree. And this is also the reason I don't post on threads asking: "what's good to eat at XYZ?" What's the point of recommending a dish that may not be on the menu in 2, 4,or 6 months?

I find the Disney World site menus better than any others lately. Seems they are better on top of updating them.

Disney is often the most correct in general, but their desciptions can be poor.
All Ears is good but pay attention to the date, they always list how recent it is!

when we went to Disney in May..I came back and checked the Dis, and also allears....allears prices were like two or so dollars off regular meals at food courts even...menus are wrong too...they said ice cream at most of the food courts ..and no one had any...I was sad...but I dont really care about the updates being off...we go and look and then decide at the last minute at the food courts as well as park restaurants and table service restaurants..
