We've done dinner at Grills a number of times. It is right on the chanel that the ships go out. Both times we ate there we were on the Wonder leaving on Sunday and went there on Saturday night and watched the Magic leave. The Magic almost always blows its horn right as it goes past Grills since there are so many people there watching!
The food is good, they have bands there on the weekend, and the parade of cruise ships is wonderful!
Zachary's Family Restaurant. It is next door to Radisson and we walked over.
I'd sooner cross the highway and eat at McDonald's than ever set foot there again.
I say it is definately worth it to catch a cab to Grills. You could also check and see if you could arrange with your hotel shuttle to give you a lift over and then come back and get you at a specified time.
Can't remember the name of the place, but there's a really cool Mexican restaurant. The food is homemade and tasty, and the decor will be familiar to anyone who every partied in someone's parents' basement when they were teenagers. Anyone know the name?
The restaurant, Atlantic Ocean Grille, on the pier at Cocoa Beach is definately worth a cab ride - you sit over the ocean and the sunsets are spectacular. You can go out further on the pier and visit the pier bar and have Pina Coladas while feeding the pelicans. Its beautiful and a great way to start your tropical vacation.
