How late are restaurants in the resorts open? We're doing the DxDP and staying at the BWV and are hoping to do Flying Fish the night we arrive. However we probably won't be checking in until around 9pm. Do you think this is possible?

The restaurants in DTD are open till 11pm I know, I think most of the others are also. The earliest would be 10pm for some but most are 11pm.
The last sitting for the Flying Fish cafe is 10.30pm latest.

I think you may have to book as the free DDP is really filling up all the good restaurants and it's busier because of this.

While the DTD restaurants do stay open later, most of the other restaurants' last seatings are usually between 9 and 9:50 most times of the year (they may stay open later durring the busy times of the year like spring break season or Christmas/NY). After doing a quick search of reservations for FF in May, the latest ADR I would have been able to make is 9:15 (I checked from 173-180 days from today, looking for a 10PM ADR).

Also, with the new cancelation policy in place, I wouldn't book an ADR that needed a CC hold for that close to when you expect to check-in. Even a slight delay durring your travels may keep you from getting to your ADR, which will result in a $10 charge per person.

I agree. Don't make a reservation on arrival night. If you miss it, it will cost you. I would tell you that if you can't walk in, or have a long wait that you don't want, go over to the Swan or Dolphin and try Il Mulino or Bluezoo, but by being on the dining plan you have taken those out of contention. If you can't get into FF, try Kouzzina or walk across the way to the Captain's Grill or Yachtsman.
