Restaurant Holiday Surcharges

It's been discussed before. A lot of tourist destinations have this policy in effect and have had the policy in effect for holidays. It's no different from hotels charging extra for weekend and holiday nights.

If it bugs you that much, don't eat at buffets or simply change to eating at a buffet at lunch. That's what we did at the Biergarten. Same food as dinner and the lunch price with the surcharge was the same as the dinner price without the surcharge.

I don't understand it but I have noticed it around hime too. I made New Year's reservations at home and there is a surcharge per person here too.

We had the surcharge at WCC on Thanksgiving for dinner. I didn't get anything extra but I did have the best smoked turkey ever!:rotfl2: all for the extra $12 family surcharge....oh well gotta eat and can;t change it

. . . Disney management always finds a way to erode the loyalty of their return guests . . .

1) Maybe yes, maybe no.
2) Let's not be too quick to judge.
3) It could be due to other causes . . .
. . . phase of the moon during holiday seasons
. . . barometric pressure changes
. . . contingency fund increases in the event of snow
. . . increase in accounts for executive bonuses

4) Or, maybe it is just plain greed.
