On out next trip, DH is taking my DS to Universal and I'll have a morning alone with my DD age 2 1/2. I'm thinking of taking her to a special breakfast. She LOVES Mickey, but we're already doing Cape May and Chef Mickey's. My son is afraid of princesses, so I was thinking I could take her to a special princess breakfast. The problem is that our trip is 7 months away and I don't know which princesses (if any) she will like.

I was thinking CRT, but we are staying at BWV so Akershus would be very convenient. Any thoughts? It seems like nothing would beat breakfast in the castle, but she may appreciate that more when she's older. I've also debated Hollywood & Vine because she does love Disney Junior. Thanks!

Considering you'll see 5 princesses at both Akershus and CRT, there's surely at least one princess that will make her happy IF she's into princesses. Our girls both were huge Ariel fans around age 2, but everything shifted to Cinderella around age 3 and Belle between 4 and 5. Still- there were enough princesses at the meals that all bases were covered and everyone was happy. While we have had better overall experiences at Akershus, I think the castle atmosphere is a must for a first princess meal. If you do CRT- I highly recommend trying for a pre-park opening slot. LOVE  being in MK before the park officially opens.

Now if you go Hollywood and Vine- it's a very different experience, but we really enjoyed that breakfast as well. There were very few people when we went and we had double visits from all of the characters. The staff is also really great about getting the kids up and dancing. My girls LOVED dancing with Oso. :goodvibes

I have nothing against princesses, but we've been to H&V breakfast twice and had great experiences both times. My DGS was about 2 1/2 the first time we took him. The characters spend a lot of time with the kids, and the dancing and singing is a lot of fun.

I've done both princess meals before having a child. They were fun, and I liked both equally. For my DD's first trip this Dec. (she'll be 26 months), I plan to go to Akershus. I figure we will do CRT when she is older at a future trip.

I would do CRT since they bring you the food. Hollywood and Vine is a full buffet, which can be tricky without a 2nd adult to stay with the kids at the table.

We loved Akershus when we went last year. We are saving the castle for when DD is a little older and will get the whole castle thing. Plus it is 1 TS and not 2 like CRT.

I would do Akershus instead of CRT. CRT is more expensive and won't be appreciated by a 2 year old. And generally I think they have mostly the same (if not the same) princesses.

If your daughter is a picky eater, I would look over the menus for each restaurant.

Akershus offers a cold buffet and a platter of food brought to the table. They do not serve Mickey waffles. Pancakes are available if requested.

CRT is expensive but the food is served so you, unlike H&V which is a traditional buffet. Another thing to consider is that your are only paying for yourself since children under two dine free.

No princesses, but great quality time with Mickey- Ohanas. THat was my kids favorite breakfast (but they were a little older). She might really love looking around the Polynesian and if you're just enjoying your resort that day, you can save a day on your park ticket.
