Restaurant dot com gift cards?

I am sure I've seen these mentioned here a time or two. I received an email from my credit union offering a $25 card from them for each bill I convert to paperless. There were six eligible bills and I'm not one to turn down free money. I looked it up but it just seems like a website to find restaurants. I couldn't find anything on how to use the cards or how to find out where they're accepted. Anyone have experience with these?

It's not a general GC that you can use at a restaurant. it's more like a groupon, where you pay x amount and get y value in return. So, if I decided to go to ABC Cafe, I'll buy a $50 certificate for $25. BUT that certificate more than likely has stipulations, like 1) Only able to use for Dinner for 4 people 2) not valid towards alcohol.

If you put in your zipcode, you'll see what restaurants are available, what the price is, what the value is, and what the terms are.

Ah, thanks so much. I've not heard of 90% of the places listed. I went and read the fine print from the credit union and it says certificates would be emailed 6-8 weeks AFTER the promotion ends which is March of next year. Not looking like such a great deal.

I used them about a year ago on a local place, but there were so many stipulations that I didn't end up saving any money over what I would usually have spent. I'm not sure it's like that for every restaurant, but it soured me on the whole thing.
