restaurant discounts

When you go to a restaurant with a dvc discount do you tell the server you have it when you arrive or do you just slide your membership card in with the check after they drop it off?

the servers ask, before taking your order, if you have DDP, TIW, or any other discount.
just let them know then (and have your DVC card available, of course)

agreed. I think I'm asked at the podium, and that is the first question my server asks as well.

If they don't ask you, there is no problem bringing it up with them when the bill is dropped.

We aren't buying TIW this fall because our 3 TS choices all have a DVC discount, so we're using it!

Ive never had any restaurant in WDW ask me if i had anything except the DDP. I dont offer. I just give them my TIW card at the end of the meal.

When they ask at the podium if we have DDP we say no but we have TIW/DVC etc. Then we just give the TIW card to the server when the check comes.
