Hello !

I and DH are planning our next trip on january, and I don't know if we will use the DDP...

I heart that DVC members can obtain discounts in restaurants at WDW showing their card... Is that true ?

If yes, how much is the discount and in which reataurants is the discount applied ? TS or CS ?

Because, if this is true, maybe we will skip the DDP option this time...

Thanks in advance for your help

Mostly, you can only use your DVC card to get discounts at lunch. Not sure if I'm allowed to post the list here but generally it is a 10 or 20 percent discount at TS restaurants only (with the exception of a couple of DTD snack places).

You can check the full list on dvcmember.com

It's only a select list of restaurants. Many of the same ones that offer AP discounts. It's on the member website under member priviledges, member perks, WDW.

Also, if you have an Annual Pass you can get the Disney Dining Experience card. It is $60 for a 1-year membership and saves you 20% off of food and beverages (including alcohol) and most sit-down restaurants and some counter-service places. We find it saves us more than the DDP and we aren't locked in to a certain number of TS or CS meals.

We often use the DVC member discount at the Swan/Dolphin Resorts. It's 20% and includes most (but not all) of the restaurants. AFAIK, the DDP and DDE are not accepted there. If you are staying at the BCV or the BWV, those dining options are very convenient. But be prepared to show your blue membership card to get the discount - Resort IDs are not accepted.
