restaurant delivery - SSR

I have no idea where to place this question. Since it doesn't specifically apply to Disney restaurants I decided to try here.

We are looking for restaurants that deliver - free or a small charge is fine. The phone book is so big and we are not that familiar with the area that we have no idea what restaurants would service us. Looking for ideas on chinese, italian, homestyle, pizza.

We will be staying at Saratoga.

Hello Neighbor

We did the pizza hut delievery to SSR twice. It was ok quality, delivery service was free...I think. I did end up calling various locations as I had no idea which one was closet to me....and neither did they It turned out to be the Apolka Vineland location.

Don't know if they deliver, but, we get an entire takeout meal from the Olive Garden on Apopka-Vineland (Crossroads) on every trip. This OG location is very convenient to SSR. Usually, we'll get an entire meal and then order one of their party size salads and extra bread sticks to have for lunch the next day with any leftovers from our meals. The salad stays very fresh in the plastic containers OG uses. It's one of our favorite meals every trip. I believe they even have a dedicated server to handle the take outs. This location is always very crowded to go there and eat, so we find the take out to be much better for us. Usually they will have it ready for pick up within a half hour to 45 minutes. Or we've even called several hours before we wanted to pick up and just set a time in advance for our pick up.

How close is it to SSR? Do you drive over? Sorry if this is a dumb question as I have never been (yet! )

Actually, the Crossroads area is very close to SSR. You will just drive out of SSR onto Vacation Club Way (I believe most maps still show it as Community Drive) make a right on VCW, go to Buena Vista Drive and make another right.
Go to intersection (maybe two blocks) of Hotel Boulevard and make a left onto Hotel Blvd. Just follow this to intersection of Route 535 (maybe 1/2 mile or a little less). The Crossroads is right across 535, however, for the Olive Garden you need to make a left onto 535 and it's on the next corner on your right. Corner of 535 and Palm Parkway. All in all, it's probably just a little over a mile from SSR. If you're not having a car I really don't think taxifare would be terribly expensive.
In the same vicinity (across 535 on the opposite corner) there is also an Orlando Ale House (a big favorite with CM's on days off) which has a good menu of pub type items. They also have a dinner menu, but, we've only been there later in evening and not really had dinner. Food is good, though. Again, I don't know if they deliver. If you go right on 535 after coming out of Hotel Boulevard and go under the I-4 overpass (again, maybe 1/2 mile) there is also a Bahama Breeze on the left near the traffic light for Lake Bryan. We've never been there, but, they are owned by the same company that runs OG and Red Lobster. However, I've heard good things about the place.

I never thought about nearby restaurants that offer takeout. I wonder what other options we have.

I know AppleBees & Outback have online menus and advertises call ahead and pick up. I'm assuming LoneStar Steakhouse does take out since you can take leftovers home. I guess I'll need to look for the nearest location.
