LeCellier-- We actually had fabulous service when we were there for lunch. I had the open faced steak sandwich wth homemade ketchup-- it was very, very good; my husband had a burger-- he liked that quite well; and my son had maybe chicken fingers. The maple creme brulee was incredibly smooth and tasty. Food was good, great relaxing place in the middle of the day, but is one of the restaurants that is not on our must do again list.
Room service at Coronado Springs-- we split our stay and spent two nights here and seven nights at AKL-- I ordered pizza which was really, really bad-- The crust did not have the taste or texture of pizza, and the toppings were undercooked.
Character Breakfast at Restaurantosaurus at AK-- we had an 8:10 PS and were among the first group seated-- great, great character interaction-- I found that these characters would spend some time joking around with my son and we even had a couple at the table at the same -- so he loved it. Our waitress was wonderful-- very efficient and funny. Great selection of food, hot and fresh-- egg dishes were nicely done, chocolate chip pancakes, and fruit. We were out of the restaurant by 8:45 without feeling rushed and among the first in line for the safaris.
Main Street Bakery- we stopped here a few times for quick breakfasts and snacks. Bagels were typical, enjoyed the crumb cake-- nice and moist; the cinnamon bun was a bit dry; the yogurt, fruit, and granola mixture was good-- I had it a few times. We found that the tables by Sleepy Hollow were a nice relaxing place to enjoy our snacks from the bakery.
Crystal Palace-- My husband commented that they had upgraded the food selections since the last time we were there about a year ago-- We had a 2:30 PS, and once again were pleasantly surprised at how fresh the food still was. Because we were among the last seated, and we lingered over the meal-- character interaction was incredible-- after they made their rounds, they came back a few more times and my son was in heaven-- my husband liked the meats-- especially the chicken and beef and sausage, I liked the green bean casserole (I think this is the restaurant where I had it) and the apple crisp/cobbler, my son loved the potatoes. We do this restaurant every time and will continue to keep it at the top of our list.
Hoopdeedoo Revue-- Ok, we thought the slap stick comedy and singing were cute-- I know not everyone agrees but we found it an entertaining, relaxing way to spend the evening. And the waitress was great-- our son fell asleep and she packaged some of the food for him to go. The fried chicken was perfectly done, as were the ribs (I have read reports of the ribs being tough but they were perfect the night we were there)-- everything was brought to our table piping hot and fresh-- strawberry short cake was tasty (the last few times i have had strawberry shortcake anywhere it has had an artificial flavor-- this did not and was just the right touch to end the meal). I had half a glass of sangria which was nice. My husband and son want to do this one again.
More in a few minutes-- by now I think you can tell we tried to sample our way around the world. Diane
