We've used these before, but it seems the value is getting less.
For example, one of our favorite restaurants has $25 gift certificates for $17.50. ($3.50 after 80% code - "gobble"). You have to purchase a minimum $45, and there's an automatic 18% gratuity. So, $45 worth of food ends up costing $31.60 (30% off). It's still an OK deal, but not as good as it used to be (cost of the certificate used to be $10 ($2 after code) and the minimum purchase used to be $35 - came out to 47% off).
Guess we'll mark that restaurant off our list. My favorite Mexican restaurant is still "on." YEAH! ($35 worth of food for $18.30).
I noticed the price for a $25 certificate has increased for many of the restaurants in my town. Boo...
Does anyone know if we have 2 parties at our table (2 people each) can we separate checks and each use a gift certificate?
