Giordano's is no longer accepting restaurant.com certificates. Got an email today. You can exchange yours for a different restaurant.

Update: post 13

Thanks for letting us know. I use restaurant.com certificates all the time here locally, and was considering Giordanos for our next trip but that's ok... just going to eat on property or DTD.

I had a lot of restaurants around here that I bought certificates with a gift card I got. They apparently stopped taking the certificates and I was able to turn them in. Now I have over $100.00 in certificate "credit" that I can't use because half the restaurants are really terrible around here. It sucks but it seems Restaurant.com is becoming defunct.

Giordano's was the only restaurant cards I ever bought from restaurant.com. Hope they reconsider.

Oh poop, I didn't get that email and we were planning on using ours our next trip down. Drat. Like another poster I"m starting to pile up the credits with hardly nothing to use them on. Oh well glad I purchased the certificates when they were 80% off so I'm not out a lot of money. But dang!

Good thing is, they give you the full credit of the certificate back like if you paid $4.00 for a $25.00 certificate you'll get the full $25.00 back (not just $4.00). Since gift cards and credit take the full credit for the restaurant. Like if you received a $25.00 gift card or credit and you purchase a new $25.00 credit, you can't buy it at the discounted rate of $4.00. I hope this makes sense.

Is it for all Giordano's or just one specifically? Someone should let Restaurant.com know because they are still selling certificates for 2 Orlando locations (I believe there used to be three).

I know 2 years ago Giorado was in finacial trouble so maybe that is why they stop accepting them.

It could possibly be for only one location. In the email, they didn't state a location. If they still sell them, they must still accept them at that location.

Which location was yours for?

Which location was yours for?

Actually I have two, one for the one on 192 and the other for the lake buena vista location. So I have no idea which one they mean. I would think if you have one and haven't gotten an email, then yours may still be good. I'll have to do a little research and find out which one is not taking the certificates anymore.

I think I may have figured it out. The email sent was concerning a certificate I bought in 2006 for Giordano's in Lake Buena Vista. I think it is because it is so old. I have two others that I purchased more recently and it doesn't say that Giordano's is not longer accepting them.
So hopefully this is a false alarm.

Through a survey website, I've received credits for restaurant.com gift certificates. So for FREE, I've been able to accumulate restaurant.com certificates for the following restaurants:

Dragon China $15 off of 22.50 minimum
Kook Sports Bar - $25 off $37.50 minimum
Ciao Italia - $25 off of $50 minimum
Avu-Avu - $50 off of $75 minimum

We (family of 4) are going to be staying on-site for 8 nights in August with our car and thought we might want to get out of Disney periodically. Has anyone had experience with any of the above restaurants? They are within 10 miles for WDW. Thanks!

forget about Kook's sports bar
we went about three years ago. i got the half rack of ribs for $19 and it consisted of two ribs and a tiny portion of sweet potatoes. And i had indegestion all night. My husband paid an enormous amount for a sandwich. Once we found the building it was in, we had a terrible time finding the restaurant in the building.

Thanks for the feedback. That is a bummer, we were thinking about trying it for lunch.
