restaurant.com recommendations in Disney area

Does the HOB continue to have 1/2 price drinks & apps 3-5pm happy hour in the summer? Any days this is not offered? We'll be there next week & would love to get a cert & go at that time if possible.

Also, do you have the sale code for this? Thanks!!

I can't answer about the half price drinks and appetizers during the summer, I assumed that is was available all the time. Well, I didn't know drinks were half price, but Appetizers were half off until 5pm.

The code for the sale is FLAG

We just used a certificate for House of Blues at Downtown Disney Westside. Not a problem and I believe they still have them available.

Doesn't it say somewhere on certificate that it can't be combined with other coupons, discounts or offers???? We have an AP and DVC which would give us 20% off but have never asked about combining those and when we went for the 1/2 off app and drinks did not use certificate????

We like Giordano's but I never bought a coupon. So, if I buy a $10 gift certificate for $5, I'm basically paying $5 for a $10 off coupon. Is that correct? Is there any other fee?:confused3 Another question, there are 2 of us. How much must our order be to use the $10 gift certificate? Thank you.

The sales typically are for $25 off coupons. Right now you can get a $25 off coupon for $2. You have to buy $35 worth of food.

We were not able to combine the certificate with our DVC discount at HoB.

Correct, you cannot combine a % off discount with the gift certificate. However, I have been able to use happy hour purchases toward m;y total.

It does not matter how many are in yoru party and different places require different $$ requirements. When you look at the gift certificate it tells you what the minimum $$ required is. Some places do not count alcoholic beverages in the total. You just have to read the rules of the g.c. before you purchase. It's not a coupon btw, it is a gift certificate. No other fees involved.

They also had half price appetizers starting at 10 pm when we went.

Never pay full price for restaurant.com certificates. There is always a code for a sale! And, if you aren't leaving in the next day or two, wait until there is an 80% off sale. Those usually happen once per month. So don't pay $5 for a $10 certificate. Wait until the 80% off sale!

Aren't the codes for 80% off? The codes don't specify you have to buy the $25 certificate, do they? I am pretty sure, but not certain because I have only ever purchased the $25 ones.

Yes. Look at the terms on the GC. For example, I have a few that say 2 entrees required. The Kimonos one was just $$$, not entrees.

We've used HOB several times. We (familiy of 4- me, DH, DS7, and DS2) went during happy hour. We decided to make it an appetizer night to get the most out of our restaurant.com certificate. I can't even begin to tell you how much food we had. I think we ended up with 5-6 appetizers, DH had a beer, and I had a signature drink in souvenier glass. All for about $15 or so. If you think, $2 for certificate, $10 that you have to spend there, not bad. Food was great!

I've also heard amazing things about Todd English's Blue Zoo. We're going in a few weeks.

Longtime restuarant.com fan here :)

The sales are always on all gc's not just the $25 ones. They just typically promote those in their sale advertisements.

We've used resturant.com gc's in Orlando before a few times. We used to get the BB King's ones butsadly they don't participate anymore :sad2:

For this trip we have ordered the Giordano's and HoB ones. Since we are in a villa we ordered the $50 off $100 ones for both with plans for leftovers :thumbsup2

That has been my experience as well, but I usually only get the $25 because you can definitely spend that very easily.

The discount code for this weekend is FLAG

They have been having a code almost constantly this month, though most of the month is has been 70% off.

I think there are some on there for Celebration too like The Imperium Wine Room

Alright, I see the code and I'm just about ready to order. Does one print the certificates?

For anyone interested in Garden Grove, they are listed in the Disney Dining reservation system, but when I attempted it said all times were unavailable, but when I called the Swan and Dolphin reservation center they basically said when do you want to come? I opted for a Saturday night, which is BBQ night. Hope its good!

Yes just print and I think they let you print it multiple times, not use but print if you miss place....Like me... I take one in multiple bags...:goodvibes

OK, thanks! I did need to print one twice due to printer error. DH and I can't wait to use it! We enjoy a Chicago Pizza every so often, even though we both grew up with and like NY style the best!:thumbsup2
