Restaurant.com certificate DEALS!!!

i got a few $100 gift cards and gave them as christmas presents. They were excited. I looked up their zipcodes to see if they have enough options before i gave them it. My dad's has tons of choices.. i however have about 4. My sister called a restaurant in Brooklyn for her day trip and asked if they could use it for lunch instead of dinner as stated, and they said yes. When they got there that person who said it was 'not on duty' and they said no.

Do you have to wait for the certificates to be mailed to you? My trip is just a bit over a week away & I'm not sure they would get here in time.

No. You buy online and print them out yourself so you have plenty of time. ;)

Perfect! Thank you.

One more thing.......I'm assuming you can't use these in combination with an AP or DVC discount?

I would assume not as the ones I have looked at state something along the lines of not being able to use them in conjunction with other special offers/discounts. You do need to read the conditions for each restaurant though as they aren't all exactly the same regarding qualifying criteria and exclusions.

I A hostess received call after much wait and when I asked, she said she'll ask the manager. After another few minute wait, she said that it has to be 2 adult buffet/entree.

I have an idea  Is it just you and your DD (I am assuming as our dilemma is unique to a 1 adult 1 child party)? We could dine together if I bought a $50 certificate, minimum £100 spend and we split the $50 plus gratuity two ways between us :teacher:

I decided not to PM you on this but to post it here as it may be helpful to anyone else with similar dilemma and I can't see it breaching any of the terms and conditions in any way. Mods, please feel free to delete or move if appropriate

We are frequent users of restaurant.com gift certificates in nj, philadelphia and baltimore, md. You can't beat the discount! You do have to read the each one for restrictions though. Some allow alcohol included, some don't. Some are valid 7 days a week, some only 6.

We're heading down to Orlando in July. Could others post what restaurants they purchased the restaurant.com certificates for?

I have only used one at the House of Blues in DTD. By far the best on property restaurant we have eaten at.

They did allow alcohol as I was $1 short of my minimum spend and they server offered wine. It is 7 days a week there but may not be used for the Gospel Brunch. Doing it again this year and loved it so much we are doing another meal there on the same trip despite not being able to use a certficate twice. So we will use the cert. for one meal and just pay in full for the other one. Still well worth it.

Really Green Here..... Educate me please.

We are going to AKL in December, how would I best be able to utilize restaurant.com?

All comments are appreciated.

Thanks

I am the first to admit, I am skeptic. I have been in two different restaurants in the past two weeks that had signs saying they do not honor restaurant.com certificates any longer. After reading this thread, it seems that there are a lot of rules for using this service.

I am in favor of saving money but while on vacation I want to relax and enjoy myself. All of this seems to be a lot of effort to save a few bucks. Worst case, the certificate is not honored for some reason and you end up very upset. Besides, I want to pick from a wide variety of restaurants at WDW and not be limited by what is available in this program.

If this works for you, great. I suggest people proceed with caution.

Yay! That should be fund also. I have DS 7 and it's just me and him this trip so nice adult conversation would be plus also. We've got to plan on which day and all.....

I just checked restaurant.com for garden grove and they only do $25 cert. :sad2: We could still use it and think that our kids get free meal and we pay for ours I guess.
But I like the idea of doing a meal together. Do you still want to do a meal with us?

We just did our normal stop at House of Blues this wed. Again probally about the best TS dinner we had all week and Resturant.com 50 gift cert for $4 was awesome. Our waiter Josh was excelent and kept us informed on our total during our dinner.. Our total bill before Tax and tip was 100.25...After w/Tax and tip $75.. Thats 3 adult dinners,1 child dinner, 1-App Crab Dip Totally awesome..2 Bannana bread puddings and kids ice cream . We have ate there in past and bill was normally always $130++

The Rib Eye was Excelent!!!!

We use our $25 GC at HOB during Happy Hour for 1/2 price app's & drink specials while the kids are finishing up at Disney Quest.

So glad to here this! We got a $50.00 certificate for the HOB for our August trip...I was worried about spending $100.00 but it doesn't seem to be a problem. We are 2 adults and 2 kids, so can't wait to use ours.....:cool1:

Yes, Our waiter was GREAT. When we gave him cert at drink order. He told us he would give us updated total during dine. The Crab dip was soo good and chunky. We had 2 adults and 2 kids. After dinner we wanted to split desert as we were on full side. We ordered 2 bannana bread puddings (There HUGE) and daughter wanted cookie. Waiter came back and said were .10 short. So we swapped cookie for kids ice cream and total was 100.25 No tax and tip....Perfect ....After with tax and 18% tip bill was $74 and change.
