Restaurant.com 60% off code

Thank you so much!! Just an FYI, I have never used certificates from restaurant.com so I called a local restaurant to see if I could use more than one certificate per visit and they said no, one per party per visit. Not sure if this is true for all restaurants but thought I'd pass that along in case anyone was new to this like me :)

I've never used restaurant.com so I just checked it out. Found 2 of our favorite local restaurants, bought two $25 certs for $9!!!!! This is such a good deal, Thank You!!

I've never used Restaurant.com either. What do the certificates look like? Is it obvious they're "a bargain"? ;) Just wondering, for gift giving.

A little off topic but.....has anyone ever purchased and used the Mrs. Fields certificates? There is a message when you get to the check out cart that the certificate is good on 75.00 or over for on-line orders.

Anyone ever order the certificates for the other merchants and used them successfully?

it is also a stipulation that you may only use 1 certificate per month/30days (it says month in their written terms but I called their customer service # for clarification).

when purchasing as gifts, if you purchase more than 1 certificate for the same restaurant & give to multiple famlies/parties then keep in mind if one person goes one week & someone tries the next then they will not be able to use the certificate since it had not yet been 30 day since the last one was used. you can not gift the certificates in someone elses name, they are all tied in to your "account". now, I'm not sure if you can have multiple accounts, i.e. using different email addresses & creditcard #'s. havent tried that yet.

but yes, restaurant.com certificates are wonderful, I've ben using them for a year or 2 now, never had a problem, I just keep track of the times I use them & not try to redeem another at the same restaurant for at least a month later. I write the date down on the next certificate I have for the same restaurant, (i.e. use after 11/04/05) so I remember

terms & conditions on all of the certificates:

they are just a print out using your own printer. 1 sheet b&w if you dont use a color printer or this olive-greenish color if you use a color printer. nothing fancy at all. they just say Dining Certificate $25 (or what ever amount is of the certificate you purchased) but no where on the certificate does it say the real amount you paid for it. it lists the name and address of the restaurant you purchased for, the logo for restaurant.com, logo for the restaurant your purchased for, the date & time of purchase, & the reference number & the phone number that the merchant uses to redeem the certificate.

it also lists any special per restaurant stipulations such as valid only for dinner, valid with a minimum purchase of $35, vlaid on 4 or more entrees, etc. each restaurant has its own "special instructions" just click on the "dining certificate" button on the left side of the page once you pull up the restaurant you want to purchase a certificate for to see their "special instructions"

please read my above post about gift giving possible hang-up

Do they actually have a way of checking if multiple certificates are used within 30 days? Is it by the code on the certificate when they call in? I bought doubles of a couple we are planning on using in Florida next summer, thinking if need be, I could have my teenagers at a different table for a separate check. I read the conditions, but didn't know how closely they were followed. I did get them at the 60% off price, so I won't really be losing alot either way.

Thank you so much for the info, cinamin27!

It probably would depend on each individual restaurant. Ask the manager when you go in they would probably accept both, the idea of the certificate is to get you in the door.

for the restaurant I frequent with the gift certificates, they perfer to be shown & given the gift certificate before ordering, they run the reference number immediately to be sure all is ok. from what I understand, if you use another certificate w/in the 30 days, the 2nd reference number will not validate until 30 days after the one before that was used, at least that is what customer service at restaurant.com told me. I have never tried to use more than 1 with in 30 days so I cant say for certain if the rep is correct.

cinamin27, thanks so much for all the information you provided. It's very helpful to me :)

We only have one place in town on their list and usually go 1 time a month using the certificate....I've never checked if we are w/in or past the 30 day mark and they have always taken them. We are able to combine it w/family night at that particular place and eat a very nice meal for only about $30 for our family (cost of certificate plus our charges beyond).

Anyone have any info on the places listed in Orlando on the site? There is a 4 page list, but I don't know that area at all. Anyone take these on vacation and use them?
THANKS
Chris

When a $25 certificate sayings "valid with a minimum purchase of $35" does that mean your bill BEFORE using the certificate must be $35 or more? Then they take the $25 off and you owe $10? Or do you actually have to SPEND $35 AFTER the gift certificate comes off?

What is this site for? I see it alot but have never been to it until this evening and I don't understand what you buy there
Michele

Okay I wetn to the site and tried to get some GC. Do you think this worked for me. NOOOOO! What am I doing wrong. First off the Texas Roadhouse will allow me to do everything down to all of my info and then the page has expired where you check out plus it will not take the discount code.
I also went to the Cracker Barrel site and ther is no place for a code. Can some one help me. How long is this code good for
Thanks
