I'm trying to plan our eating arrangements for a trip late Nov early Dec. Does anyone know where I can find a list of what restaurants will be open/closed for my stay and if so how far in advance this information is available? Is there an archive file on this site or any other that would list last years closures? Gotta say it's tough planning a trip to DP in comparison with the states. Not a lot of info out there available although this discussion board is great.:thumbsup2

I am exactly the same we go on the 2nd Dec but after reading about a lot of restaurants are closed i am wondering what our options will be ??

I don't think that kind of information will be availabe until 60 days before you go to DLP. You can make your dining table reservations at that point for DLP, and the staff on the Dining reservation line would be able to tell you if any of the restaurants you are thinking of booking will be closed during your stay.

Obviously this will only be for table/buffet service restaurants which you can book through Disney, there really isn't any way of knowing which counter service etc restaurants are likely to be closed on your trip, because they seem to change on weekly (sometimes daily) basis :confused3.

In addition, we are unsure at the moment what the park opening times will be then. This will affect table service restaurants within the park as well e.g. Blue Lagoon / Walts won't be available for late dinner if the park closes at 7 pm midweek (which is what it has been in the past at that time of year). On looking at archived opening hours (on DLRPMagic web), it appears the parks open 10 am - 7 pm midweek and either 9 am - 10 pm (or 10 am) at weekends. But this isn't gospel as there were differences over the years!

I too have started thinking about our meals. As this is the shortest trip we've done yet (3 nights), I am keen to ensure we manage the meals well - we all have different favourites and don't want to take too much time out to eat on a day when the park closes at 7 pm. Would rather eat outside the park in the evening now that the girls are older and can manage a later night.

Does this mean that if the parks close at 7:00pm you could book say a 6:00pm dinner at Walts and finish eating after the park is closed or do they just not open for dinner when there is early closing. I know in the American Parks they take bookings virtually up to closing time of the parks and you exit after the park has closed. Is it different at DLP? Also we will be there from Thursday to Wednesday and I think there will be later closing on the weekends so maybe it may be better to think about places like Walts on the weekend. What do you think?:scratchin

again, this is something you really can't predict, the restaurants may take bookings for very early dinner (ie 5pm) when the parks close at 7pm if you book in advance, they may be earlier closing.

Elaine has pipped me to it :). As she says, you can't tell the latest reservation without ringing up once park hours are known (or at your 60 day point where you can book restaurants so they should have latest booking times). I would have thought they won't want people eating too late as they do try and empty the park quite quickly at closing.

At least booking 60 days out, you have time to plan once you know the details etc :). Still, if you are like me, I'm already trying to work out what we will be doing :lmao:.

Dreams will still be on too though? So the park wouldn't be closing at 7?

Id say have a big lunch in the park during winter time if theres a particular restaurant you really want to do and then you could have a smaller supper in the village after park closing on these days.

.

Could do as it will be dark enough to show it at park closing. Sunset starts at 17.30 on the 1st of November and is at 16.56 on the 30th :)

I am having one of those days.... Somehow manage to forget some winter days it starts getting dark at 4pm here.. Hah this awful July weather must be having an adverse effect on my memory. On the upside the rides will be soooo cool in the dark and I dont have to worry about DS being comatose for Dreams :yay:
Thanks Carrie x
