we have PSs at the following. we're in good shape for dinners but we still need to decide on breakfasts/lunchs. there's just so much food to think about! please let me know if any of these are NOT worth going to:

Boma -breakfast
GF Cafe/1900 Park Fare (can't decide) -breakfast
Kona Cafe -breakfast

Rain Forest -lunch

Narcoossee -dinner
Jikos -dinner
Citricos -dinner
Flying Fish -dinner
Tonys Town Square -dinner

Rainforest Cafe is just "eh" in my opinion. Huge portions but just mediocre food. The atmosphere was interesting, but overall not worth it.

I would not do 3 heavy meal in the parks, you will tire out fast. Maybe a nice breakfast, a light lunch at a counter service then your dinner. Or maybe do like a brunch then a little snack then dinner. Kona is supposed to be very good for breakfast, everyone talks about the kona toast. Good choice. I am not a fan of Tony's Town Square, I still can't get over paying $19.00 for a plate of Chef boyrdee spaghetti. Have you looked into the Crystal Palace, you get alot more for you money (it's buffet) and they have the characters there. Everything else sounds pretty good. ::MinnieMo :sunny: ::MickeyMo

I personally might not choose Rainforest Cafe, but if your kids are like mine (and it sounds like they are) you may want to keep it on the list. My guys really like Rainforest, and when I even mentioned not going one trip, they were outraged. So that one ends up being a must-do on every trip with the kids.

As for your breakfast choices, I think they look great!

Are you looking for other lunch suggestions? If so, where will you be? Are you looking to have lunch in the parks, or leaving the parks for lunch?

I would also skip Tony's. For dinner we like Liberty Tree Tavern, Chef Mickey's, and Ohanas. For lunch we like Sci-Fi.

Tonga Toast at Kona! :cool1: The rest of the breakfasts are good there, just nothing special. Although I thought their Eggs Benedict were very good. :)
Most everyone enjoys the Tonga Toast. And unless you are big eaters, that is something that can be shared.
Next time at Kona Cafe for breakfast DH and I want to split meals, with Tonga Toast being one to split.
When we eat a large breakfast like that, we usually skip lunch. And a heavy breakfast like that is more of a brunch for us. Sometimes we eat something between breakfast and dinner that is light. (share a salad or sandwich)

Here's my 2 cents:

Kona Cafe -breakfast (think this one is over-rated. Try the tonga toast and found it way too sweet for my taste).

Rain Forest -lunch (there are alot of other places I would recommend over this place. If this is the one at AK, I'd recommend Tusker House)

Tonys Town Square -dinner (food is just ok. I'd recommend either the Crystal Palace or Cindy's over this place)

thanks everyone. I feel so confused!! all our dinners are early PSs between 5:00-5:45. most of our breakfasts are going to be very filling so our lunches will most likely be simple/counter service. I made some PS lunches just to be on the safe side. i appreciate the suggestions. sorry for long email but our rough plans are:

Tue: arrive
hang around resort
dinner at Narcoossee (to celebrate 15 yr anniversary)
watch water pageant

Wed: MGM in the morning with lunch at Pizza Planet (kids choice)
MK for early dinner at Tonys because Liberty Tavern is booked -ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS
staying at MK for their extended hours

Thu: want to do a character breakfast… was thinking Chef Mickeys
Epcot for the day. no clue where to have lunch
back to resort to rest
AK for dinner at Jikos. staying at AK for their extended hours

Fri: breakfast at Maya Grill (my sister is staying at the CSR)
MK in the morning/afternoon. no clue where to have lunch
dinner at Citricos

Sat: Boma for breakfast
AK for the day with lunch at Rainforest but am changing to Tucker House (thanks to Terk-1)
back to resort to rest
dinner at Rose & Crown for Illumination show

Sun: Universal day with dinner at Mythos. not sure what to do for lunch.

Mon: breakfast at GF Café
do some pool hopping or downtown Disney
birthday dinner at Flying Fish

Tues: our last day
breakfast at Kona
hang at resort

If you have breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe, be sure to try the Japanese bento breakfast. It is the most interesting unique breakfast I ever had.

Rainforest Cafe has gone way down hil IMHO - as has Tony's Town Square. Your other four dinner choices are superb.

You may want to give Concourse Steakhouse a try for breakfast. It has been our favorite for years - you will love the Sticky Mickeys.

We had a great diiner this past December at CRT in MK. The lamb shank was great as was my wife's prime rib.
