Planning on going in Nov or Dec this year first time with our kids. My oldest will be 6 and my youngest only 2 1/2. I notice that the cutoff for the park tickets begins at 3 and that the new Disney packages have meal plans for ages 3 - 9. What about all those under 3 re meal plan or general restaurants. My youngest eats almost as much as the older one. LOL

Thanks for the info in advance. :earsgirl:

Weve never used the meal plan, but when weve taken our then 2 yr old, the only places he could eat free were at buffets (including character meals that were buffet). Any place else-counter service, sit down, etc we had to pay for whatever he ordered.

exactlyas stated above - the buffets are free (even for good eaters) but anything where you order, be it a counterservice place or a sitdown, you will pay for your child's meal.

Be thankful you have a good eater. I think my 3 yo dd could live on two saltines a day!

have a great trip!

What is the official rule for a child who turns 3 (or 10) and thus changes ticket prices???? We're planning on traveling w/ our 2 yr old and celebrating her 3rd bday in Disney. Do we have to buy a 3-9yr old pass for her for the last 2 days of our trip?? If we switch our trip and she turns 3 the week before we leave, but we're still celebrating the bday on the trip...does this mean we have to pay for her?

If your child's birthday is while you are down at WDW, you do not have to pay for the tickets for those days (or the upgrade).

As for the food question. You may let the under 3 year old eat from your plate if you wanted. Disney Dining (407) WDW-Dine said that the resteraunt will bring a seperate plate for the little one for you to share from other plates. (Costs them nothing for an empty plate) But if you want them to have thier own, you have to pay extra for it.

I wish my DH ate too!!! I just need to buy a cow...he drinks a ton of milk! I guess there are worse things he could drink! LOL :teeth:

Have fun!
