Ressies now or wait for codes?

DH and I want to stay at BC this year, hopefully September but willing to wait til October if codes are better. He's nervous that we haven't made ressies yet. What do suggest - should we make ressies now and change them if codes are released? Can a code be applied to an existing ressie, or will I have to cancel it and make a new one? Or should we just bide our time until codes are released and we know exactly what dates we'll be going? I'm confused - this is the part of planning that I hate!

I would suggest that you make the reservations as soon as you know the dates yall will be traveling. That way, you know you have your room at the resort you really want to stay at. If the codes come out that can apply to your stay, sometimes they let you keep the same reservation and just change the amount, but sometimes, they make a new reservation for you. You can check with Disney when you call.

Book what you know you want and then make the adjustment when/if codes come out. If you are booked with WDTC and the ressie has to be switched to a CRO ressie then you will have to cancel, get a credit and leave a new deposit. If there is no change then you can just get the price adjustment and if you have already paid in full, then a credit. I hope I didn't confuse you!
