For a hard to get reservation....better to call or go online? What time do you call and is what is the website? Thanks!

I think online opens an hour earlier (6 ET) than the phone lines (7 ET).

Definitely try online- it opens an hour before the phone lines! I've never called to make dining reservations and have always been able to get everything I've wanted at 180 days out by logging online right at 6am ET.

Unless you are doing V&A, no reservation should be too hard to get.
Online is better. The phone center has access to the same system, so you're not more likely to get anything if you call and as others have mentioned, online opens up earlier than phone.

Online opens one hour ahead of the phones. You should always try the website or the app right when things flip at 6am ET if you're trying for anything difficult. If there are glitches, keep trying until 7am when the phones open. That's the only time I bother calling. It's come up many times and the reservationists will tell you that they are using the same exact system, so they have no great advantage over anyone doing this online or on the app. In fact, I can search the online system or the app so much faster than anything can be done by phone, so I really just see the phone as an "if all else fails" sort of thing.
