Planning a DVC purchase, maybe resale. We're debating which resort for home resort, and so we're also wondering how flexible our options will be...realistically. Just how hard is it to get ressies at the 7 month window, in general?

DVC is extremely flexible!

Success with the 7-month window depends a lot on the time of year you wish to go and the resort. The best advice I can give you is to buy at the resort you like the most.

If you wish to stay at a non-owned resort, first make a reservation at your home resort as insurance and then try to get into another one at the 7-month window.

Would you ever want to book a grand villa (3 bedroom)? They are only available at OKW, BWV and SSR (and HH, VB). They can be difficult to book at 7 months.

Probably won't want to book a grand villa...but, never say never! We'll mostly use a 1 bdrm...and less often, a 2 bedroom.
