I have already made all my Reservations but now I am double guessing them. We are on the dinning plan and I made quite a few Character Buffets for dinner and lunch. I also booked the Hoop-do-doo. The only non-buffet is Whispering Caynon and Prime Time.

I just wanted to make sure there would be food eveyone would enjoy. I have two kids and they can be picky. and looking at the kids menu's, they would be eating the same stuff over and over.

Anyone else running into this problem? I wanted to get the most out of the DDP. I've only been to Chef Mickeys for breakfast and that's it. The food was pretty good. How are the buffets? Is the food good? I hate to be hung in the center of Main Street by my family!!

Our first trip, last March, I booked 3 buffets and 2 sit downs. This time...I have 2 buffets, 4 sit downs, and MBYBBQ (which I guess is technically a buffet, too:rotfl2: ). I enjoyed all the food at the buffets. I, too, was worried about options for DS6, and the buffets worked out well. There were so many options, and a few dishes things that I really, really thought were outstanding that kept me coming back for more.

The thing that I didn't like at the buffets was the fact that I wasn't being served!:lmao: I really wanted our TS to feel like a break, and the buffets didn't really. The family was up and down and back and forth, didn't feel like a nice, relaxed, social meal, so that's why I am leaning more toward the being served side for this trip. I spent some time studying the menus to pick the best bets for a happy DS and happy Momma and Daddy!:goodvibes

With kids, especially picky eaters, I don't think you can avoid the "eating the same stuff over and over" syndrome. That being said, at the character meals that have buffets, I am sure everyone in your party will be able to find something that they want to eat.

LOL! I just changed three of my ADR's this morning---all to character meals! We already had three booked, but my kids love them, and this is the last WDW trip we'll be making for a long time. Plus my kids are not very good about sitting and waiting in restaurants, so the buffets work best for us. That way we can eat at our own pace and leave if kids get antsy.

We've eaten at only two of the buffets in the past: Crystal Palace and Hollywood and Vine character lunch. Crystal Palalce (dinner) was great! Very good and lots of variety. H and V didn't food didn't impress me much. Despite that though we're going back again! Only this time to breakfast. The character interaction there is awesome.
