We'll be arriving at Disney, Fri, Oct.29 at around 5:00 if all the driving goes as planned. Next day we will be at POR so just need a cheap place to sleep for one night. Problem is we have three other families meeting us down there all arriving at different times. We would like to stay at the same hotel for that 1 night so we can all arrive at Disney together. Priceline is out since it's too many rooms and people. Would you wing it and first family to find a hotel book all our rooms, I thought it wouldn't be a problem since we're going in off season, or should we book a room now? How hard is it to get a room in Oct.? thanks

It could be very hard. Your arrival coincides with Halloween and Fright Week. Many, many people come to town for the many events during this time. Food and Wine Festival is going on too.

You may be ok if you start looking for a hotel outside of Orlando. Depending on your route, near Sanford or Lake Mary; somewhere like that.

I used Easyclicktravel.com and got a cheap hotel for the first night. I think we paid $30.00(each) a night for two rooms.(Quality Inn Maingate West) They had some for 24.99 too. For one night, it won't be bad. You could try your dates and see what comes up. Once, on a spur of the moment trip, we arrived on a Friday and had to drive all over the place looking for a place. (That was not fun after driving for 18 hrs!)

Thanks, I think I'll start looking into booking a hotel. I wasn't thinking about all the people for Halloween. Your right I don't want to be searching for a room after driving for a day. Thanks again for advice.
