Okay... back in July I made our ADRs for our October trip. I remember giving a credit card number in order to secure tables at both CRT lunch and Mama Melrose, for the Fantasmic package.

I assumed they would simply keep my credit card number on hand in case we failed to show, then charge us the $10. Another DISer asked about those fees on a thread a while back and everyone mentioned that they were charged at the time they booked the ADRS.

I never eyeball my statements THAT closely to remember if there were charges or not. So I got curious tonight and went through my card statements from July and nowhere do charges show up. Do you suppose they didn't charge my card because I was on the dining plan? By the time I made my ressies in July, I had already switched my package over to free dining. Would that have made a difference? Just curious! Anyone else not been charged at the time of booking?

No, the only way your credit card would be charged is if you didn't show up for your Priority seating. Now, if you make reservations for a dinner show like Hoop de Doo or one of the Candlelight Processional dinner packages, your card will be charged at that time, and it usually takes about 48 hours for it to show up on your card.

Hope that helps!

If you are on the dining plan you do not get charged the $10 fee upfront so yes, that is why you were not charged.
