I'm considering joining DVC but I have some questions, I can't seem to find answers ....

1. When you make a ressie, do you have to give the names in your party? At what point do they need names in the party?

2. Are taxes included in the annual fee?

3. If I buy a resale and then add more points, are the points at the original resort, too, or do they sell you points at SSR/AKV

4. Is it a good idea to have two owners, like me and my daughter?

Thanks

Yes, they need the names as soon as you can get them. Especially if you want the DDP.

2. Are taxes included in the annual fee?

Yes, there is a portion that goes toward property taxes if those are the taxes you are referring to.

Not sure I follow this question. If you buy a resale you can buy a add-on either at the same resort or a different one.

That is up to you. What I am not sure of is that the owner all may have to reside at the same residence. Need help with this question...

You need to supply the names at time of reservation. However the reservation can be modified by adding or subtracting some. If your question is can you supply your name then change it to someone else? MS is enforcing names at time of reservation... so this could potentially be a problem

With names, it just can be hard 7 months out to know who will be in the party so I was hoping DVC might be more flexible choice.

You have a room and perhaps 30 days prior, you supply the names....

You can make it in your name only and provide the rest of the names later, I've done it.

I don't think what you are asking about is a problem. I think the problem comes into play if give your reservation to someone else without informing DVC ahead of time. But if you're just talking about the names of your friends (or kids or relatives), as long as the count doesn't exceed the size of the room, I don't think theres' an issue.
I made a reservation for myself, and showed up with a friend. Wasn't a problem.

I have 2 room reserved for Easter. We do not know which family members will be joining us yet, so I reserved one room with my wife as the occupant and the other room with me as the occupant. I will update them when I know who will be going!

If you need Disney's Magical Express or the dining plan, you have to make sure all names are provided ahead of time. If you just show up with people, it will mess up the dining plan for you.
