Is it still possible to make a reservation for the Rainforest Cafe at DTD? I asked a cm and she said that it is walk-up only.:confused3

TIA for any help!

It was not possible the last time we were there (April) but we found RC to be worth the wait - good food and the best service we had that entire vacation!

that is correct that it is walk up only... just be sure to allot extra time to wait in line and you should be fine!

If you join their Safari Club ($10) you get priority seating upon walk-up, 10% off your entrees and 10% off merchandise in their shop.

What exactly does Priority Seating mean? I have the Club card (but it was $15 just last month). Our local RFC is only packed on weekends, and we have only gone weeknights so we walk up and are seated within minutes, so I've never asked about Priority Seating.

In DTD (and does it work the same at AK?), does this mean we walk up, show our card, and are seated next without waiting. I've heard the waits can be over an hour so I crossed this off my list.

Also....is there anything different/special about RFC at Disney? Or is it just that these restaurants are few and far between in the rest of the country so they're so popular at Disney? If that's the case, maybe we'll just go here at home the night before we leave and save the line!

I was told by a CM when making reservations for AK RFC that you are able to make reservations for DTD RFC by calling that restaurant directly. Not sure if this is accurate but that was what I was told. :confused3

Don't know if it has changed, but we had a reservation there for our trip last August. Could not make it through Disney Dining, you had to call the restaurant.

Yes, we have used our Safari card to get "priority seating" (meaning, we got priority over those waiting in stand-by)... showed up and the regular line was 1-1/2 hrs. We were seated within 30 minutes.

You either get a free appetizer or a % off your meal. You also get 10% off in the gift shop.

I would think the RFC is the same as anywhere else. And, as you have guessed, not everyone has one in their hometown so it seems pretty special.

Note that you can also use your Safari card at any of the other Landry Restaurants ... there is a Joe's Crab Shack not that far from DTD.

Book RFC at AK and you can make a ressie, not DTD though. We did this our last trip and it was fun, and NO wait. Good luck! ;)

That is not true, you can make a reservation in DTD. We did it in December. You just have to call the restaurant directly. They will let you make it 180 days in advance.

Nope! It's walk up only.

Not true at all.

You can call Rainforest Cafe 180 days out and make your reservation.

I just called and asked!!

They do take reservations (unless it's changed in the past 7 months). we had one this past december. we called RFC in DTD directly and made the reservation as they don't make them through the disney dining number. call the number that the poster above gave and you'll be good!! :goodvibes

Whenever my family and I go to the location at Downtown Disney we always go just before or after right after 4:00 PM and are always seated right away, without having to wait for our name to be called.
