Responses you want to put on facebook, but can't

(Bolding is mine) For a minute there I thought you were friends with my sister! Then I saw the initials and they don't match up.

My sister posts at least twice a day. The first post of the day is "Good Morning Friends, it's Day number XXX of the year 2010!" She follows that with a bible verse that has special meaning to her or song lyrics that have special meaning. Of course she doesn't fully explain why they're special but rather gives just enough to pique interest. That leads her other friends to ask about it. I don't ask, I don't care. After 3 or 4 queries she'll answer.

Her last post of the day is a good night to the day, a "nugget of wisdom", and how much she is looking forward to what surprises the next day of 2010 will bring.

In between that posts are all sorts of posts. Things she saw, read, heard or experienced that day that. Even if all she did was nap all day, she'll post how she napped all day.

Ughh!
She needs a life!! Or maybe suggest she starts her own blog! :thumbsup2

With no offense to you, I would strangle her!

The only thing that ever really got me was a friend from high school who posted something inaccurrate about religion and politics. It wasn't just the classic case of someone "being wrong on the internet", it was a comment that received a 'What are you talking about?' response both from me (lawyer) and a mutual high school friend (minister). So yeah, dead wrong and stupid. It took all my power, when she then tried to defend her comment with yet more inaccurate information, not to point out her ignorance with reference to the Constitution and various landmark legal cases.

I can't stand it when the only thing people post is religious and/or political propoganda. I don't mind the random comment here or there but the people who post nothing but political/religious rants, links and bible quotes are so annoying. I had a few 'friends' who did this and I have since blocked them. My news feed is rather quiet now, but much more pleasant to browse.

re: FB creepers

I was at a Halloween thing on the weekend and this women said something to me about my DH. I have never met her in my life. She mentioned she is FB friends with DH and I post way more pics than he does. I found it a bit creepy as I thought I had my settings as "friends only" but I guess if I tag DH in a pic she can see them all????

I found the situation a bit creepy and later asked DH about it and she said that they went to school together and that she had a ginormous crush on him. I asked him how he knew and he said "she made it obvious". LOL

Creepy!

"Don't you have anything better to do then WHINE in EVERY post". I had to finally block certain family members because EVERY SINGLE post was a whine about something.

Or the ones who warn you about EVERYTHING single thing you do causing your immediate demise in some way. Or that you're a bad parent for using plastic, eating fast food, not eating organic, blah blah blah!

I can't tell you how many pictures I have seen of people holding a camera or cell phone in front of a bathroom mirror taking a 'sexy' picture of themselves.
My DD had a picture of her and her friends taken in a public restroom. I made her delete it. Who wants to see the toilet stalls in the background? It wasn't her profile picture, thank goodness, but I still made her delete it from the album. She needs to learn how to crop photo's :thumbsup2

Friday I really wanted to post: NO, I DON'T WANT TO JUST TAKE THE PICKLES OFF...THAT'S WHY I SAID PLAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But I couldn't b/c I'm friends with the person who asked me!!!! :sad2:

I completely agree!! I can't stand that either.

I find it funny that among my FB "friends", the ones that go on & on about how religious they are usually aren't people I'd look to as an example of faith. A few people I've defriended because it was just so obnoxious to me; the same people posting Bible verses all day were the same ones stirring up all sorts of drama in their lives.

Bingo! That's my sister. I know I keep saying that but it's so very true. She posts faith related messages and yet I know things about her that would make a sailor blush! Things that she still does. I really have to laugh when her friends post that she's an inspiration to them. :scared1:
