Response from WDW about Minnie and men

Finally!! Here's the official response about whether men can participate in the Women Run the World event...

Good Morning Anne,
The event is geared towards Women and all award catergories are for
women. If men do wish to participate they will not be discouraged but
will not be eligible to receive an award.

So, no Minnie medal for DH!!

Actually, I suspect that since it's a finisher's medal, it won't be gender specific. I think they just mean age group awards and such.

The National Capital Marathon and half in Ottawa used to be held on Mother's Day so every female finisher(mother or not) was handed a carnation in addition to the finisher's medal. It was kind of neat but they moved the race to Memorial Day Weekend so that tradition is gone

Oh, yeah, Sara!! We'll be easy to pick out...at the BACK of the pack!! I've got 7 weeks to break th 15 min mile mark!!!
