Resource for Lightroom?

I received Lightroom for Christmas, and I was wondering if anyone here had suggestions for a good resource (website, book, etc) for using it? I've never used any software beyond the Picasa download and occasionally using GIMP 2.

I started using Lightroom a few years ago and found it not intuitive to me. I really had a hard time initially but now use it to process all my raw format photos.

There is quite a bit to know in setting up your catalogs for Lightroom and background material you need to know to use it but I will be the first to admit that I do not use Lightroom's or Photoshop Element's cataloging/organizational features (bad me).

Think about how you best learn anything new. Is it by reading a book, watching videos, taking a class or having someone work with you one on one?

For me, I had to jump in and try using it while referencing a book as needed. Once in awhile I use a video to learn a new technique in Lightroom.

I like almost everything written by Scott Kelby; finding his books etc. very down-to-earth and good for reference.

Amazon reviews will give you an idea of what others say about the strengths and weaknesses of various books.

Yep, just search on "B&H Lightroom" on YouTube.

Here's a prime example:

Tim Grey is a great instructor. Even though some of these videos are aimed at LR4 or LR5, about 90% of the tricks will work on newer versions.
