We are looking to rent a private home with a pool, but would also like to have a large community pool as well. We want to be very close to WDW. I know that Windsor Hills has what I am looking for, but does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks

Emerald Island has both private and a club house pooland spa. There are no slides or special pools. Just one larger pool and spa then the private homes. It is close to Disney here is a map showing all of the villa communities. It is a great map of the area.

Good site for EIR homes.

Good luck in finding what fits your family's needs.

I'm assuming that Windsor Hills is seperate from Windsor Palms, in which case Windsor Palms would qualify as well.

We've been wondering the same thing - which communities have the best pools for school-aged kids? Windsor Hills seems to have a waterslide - are their others with these kid-pleasing features?

You can try renting a private pool home in the Regal Palms Resort area. There is a subdivision with private pool homes across the street from the townhome section of the Resort complex. We have stayed in the Townhomes and those were fantastic, we have another stay in '06 already booked. :sunny:
Check out www.vrbo.com or www.a1vacations.com to see private owners in the Regal Palms Resort complex.

We've been checking into several resorts close to Disney and I only found Windsor Hills to have a pool slide. We loved Windsor Palms and their community pool was very nice. I'm sure the one at Emerald Island is just as nice. All of them have other community ammenities as well such as game room, playground area, small movie theather, basketball....plus nice pools. If you find a good deal on a private home or condo I don't think you can go wrong with any of these resorts.

We just booked our first stay at a home in Windsor Hills but it isn't until 2006. Not too many reviews yet since it is so new but lots of good values out there.

We have a 5 bedroom villa rented from October 22nd thru 30th at Windsor Hills. As soon as we get back I will be glad to post information about the resort and answer any questions you may have.

Highlands Reserve is the name of the development.

Lovely spot- right on a golf course:)

We're giving Glenbrook Resort a try this trip - it has a community pool, as well. http://www.onlinefloridavillas.com/Villas/1968.aspx

Have fun!

aquacticmom, I'm looking forward to reading your review. I originally started looking at condos and townhomes at Windsor Hills helping my sil plan a trip...now we are all going and staying together in a brand new pool home. The website pictures show a beautiful resort and I hope you have a great time.
