How many resorts have suites with 1 bedroom?
Going with DH DD & Dad
can' all sleep in 1 room, I'll be divorced!
:rotfl:

All the DVCs, plus at least some of the deluxe resorts.

Let me get back to you on that.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite for our honeymoon at YC. I think we may have been upgraded into a 2 bedroom though. It had a foyer, big living room area, refrigerator, sitting table for 2 to eat, bathroom, then a bedroom with a king bed. Then we had it opened up to a regular room as well, containing a bathroom and 2 double beds. It was great!

Me, my wife, daugther, and my father are going. We have decided family suites at all stars music is the way to go, not too expensive, 2 tv's 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, ect.

Coronado Springs has 3 types of suites

Jr suite (double & king bed) (2 regular rooms in size)
VIP suite (double & king bed) (3 regular rooms in size)
Executive suite (5 regular rooms in size)

All Star Music has Family Suites.

DH and I stayed in a Family Suite at All Star Music ( a value resort) last Sept. (2006)

We really enjoyed the Queen size bed, the kitchenette with the microwave, having a sofa and cushioned chair to sit on and relax after a day at the parks before retiring for the evening.

I thought the pullouts very comfortable.

They are designed so the back cushion and seat cushion of the pullout support the pullout. There is no meatle bar to hurt the sleepers back.

Info thread--Pullouts in Family Suites at ASMU with photos of how the pullout is supported.

That was right. Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club, Boardwalk Inn, Contemporary, Coronado Springs, Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge (Honeymoon suite), and Yacht Club (2-BR only) have 1 or 2 BR suites on a guest basis.

There are two other better options, though, If you want to rent DVC points, you can get a 1-BR at the AK Villas, WL Villas, BWI, B or Y Club, Old Key West, and Saratoga Springs. You have to know a DVC member who will rent you points, or be willing to do it with someone you don't know through the internet or magazines or agencies that do that. This will be MUCH cheaper than going as a Disney guest.

The other option is to get adjoining rooms instead of a suite. I know that this is available at some value resorts on a limited basis, and it quite reasonable. It is probably available at most other resorts as well.

You might also consider the off-site places. You can search on the internet (but I recommend booking with the hotel directly - I've gotten screwed by Travelocity and others before). Caribe Royale and their less expensive brand Buena Vista Suites have beautiful suites at reasonable prices. Visit MouseSavers.com for special rates.

Good Luck!

Funny, if you go to the official WDW site and ask for suites, it does not include these. I didn't know that they had adjoining rooms with pull-out beds (which is essentially what this is).

There are Junior Suites at Wildness Lodge that might meet your needs (I think there are Junior Suites at the Contemporary as well).

Also, a Wilderness Cabin sleeps 6 with some privacy.

No DVC villas at the YC or BWI. There are villas at the BWV.

You can check on the Rent/Trade Board to see if someone has the reservation you need. You don't really rent points, you rent a reservation. Just remember, you are renting from a member and not Disney, so Disney will not get involved in any way with this reservation.
