Resorts TV programing - Quiet Time

My little one is down for a nap at the moment, but at 7 that rarely happens. Usually we do a quiet time after lunch with her watching a Disney Video. This got me to wonder about our trip that is 16 days away.

What programing do they have on the Resort TVs?

Do they have a channel that shows Preschooler appropriate Disney cartoons 24/7? (My little one may be 7 but developmentally she is 3 or 4)

Do they have a channel that just constantly shows a Disney Movie?

Do they have a channel that continuously shows the classic Mickey Cartoons?

Basically, what are our options for Quiet Time?

I believe there is Disney Channel-it had Handy Manny, My Friends Tigger and Pooh on in the morning, in the evening it had Hannah Montana.

I think there was a cartoon channel also - Cartoon Network? It had Superman and stuff like that on when I saw it.

We didn't watch much TV, but I did put it on in the am.

It's pretty much just a normal cable lineup. I'm positive they did not have Nickelodeon because my kids missed that. They had Disney Channel and that other Disney Channel with Power Rangers, etc. on. They had the Disney-owned cable networks. Of course the channel with the top park attractions. Overall, fewer channel selections than the average hotel. You will likely find something appropriate but not necessarily what you're hoping for.

There is definitely a channel at WDW resorts that has classic Mickey cartoons as well as some of the Disney Sing Alongs. My kids watched them every day.

They have the Disney Channel and the Disney Channel XD and PBS...definately no Nickolodeon. If you are bringing a portable DVD for the flight (an absolute lifesaver) you could use for quiet time as well....DVC units have DVD players.

It's definitely limited. Just the major broadcast networks (NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox), Disney channel stuff, the Disney propaganda channels, and PBS. And, strangely, 15 channels that seem to always be showing baseball all the time. My 5 year old "rested" every day after lunch as well though and there seemed to always be the PBS Kids shows on around that time... so he'd rest to Dragon Tales, Caillou, or similar.

Thanks everyone. It sounds like I better be prepared with some DVD's and the cables to connect the portable DVD player to the TV.
