I'm sure many of you have experienced my pain...

Ever stay at one resort and love it so much that you so want to go back there again, but...at the same time are drawn to stay at another just to see what it was like? So that you can have different experiences? And then, get nervous that you loved the first so much, that the other(s) can't possibly measure up in one form or another?

Sigh...

I think I need therapy! :earboy2:

I'd love to hear your experiences...

Totally understand where your coming from. We used to stay at the DI (loved it) after that we stayed at CBR which was nice. Stayed at the BWV, it was nice too, w/d, the kitchen, the extra space but we were at the verrrrrrrrrrry end of the hall and what a walk at the end of the day with 2 tired little ones. Then.... we stayed at the Polynesian...... that was it.. hooked for life. We have stayed there 8 times because we love everything about it. I liked the Boardwalk area, it was fun at night and have always played with the idea of staying at the YC or BWI but I never can seem to pull the trigger and leave the Polynesian. We have looked around at all the resorts just because its fun to do and there are some beautiful, wonderful places to try...I'm just chicken!! And I'm perfectly content.... :smooth:

This is my conflict EVERY time I plan our next trip! I always gravitate towards our favorites, but am tempted to try something new, or return to 1 that I just liked a little bit to give it another try. I'm CRO's worst nightmare, in that I change my ressies so much! This time we are FINALLY trying BCV by renting points & are very excited! Now, if we could just decide where to spend the other half of our vacation: POR, WL, CSR, POLY??? :bitelip:

My problem is a cheap husband. I'm shooting for a moderate hotel because for the past few years I get a postcard in July/Aug giving a reduced rate for the time we are going. My reasoning for a Mod and not Value is that the Mod will be what the Value is normally. I have stayed at the Contemp, WL and GF, it has been my Disney life dream to stay at the Poly, but unless I win the lottery that's not going to happen! I have stayed at both Port Orleans, and when the other was Dixie Landings and was very happy with both stays.

But I will stay anywhere to go! I'm sure if I ever get to stay at the Poly I will feel like you! LOL

Good luck!

Yes!! Absolutely loved GF and can't imagine lodging elsewhere.
DH wants to try the YC. I've tried to talk him out of it. Loved, loved, loved the monorail and boat access. Didn't realize how much they come in handy. People say I'll love the EPCOT area. I'm sure I wil. But my heart will always belong to the MK area. In all fairness, I have to let DH select the hotel this time.

Yep, everytime. Now if we can't afford to try a new deluxe, we usually will fall back on PO-FQ. If we can't afford that, I woudn't mind giving Pop Century a try... would love to stay in the 60's building! AS-Mo, other than bus service was OK, too. But since that is the only one of the values we have tried, I think we could deal with Pop or Music. Sports just isn't my thing, I guess!

Oh yes, I totally know where you're coming from. This very problem is what led us to first try splitting our stay. Now that's what we do on almost every trip. Now that I've tried quite a few Disney resorts, it's still just as hard to pick as before. Now I just have more favorites than I used to. :teeth:

After AKL, Poly, GF, Dolphin, and CBR - AKL is still my favorite! I was a little sad that we wouldn't be staying there during our Christmas trip. We are changing plans this summer and I asked DH where he wanted to stay and he said, "Anywhere as long as it's new." (New as in we haven't stayed there before.) I was really hoping to sneak in a few nights at AKL but I'm excited about the possibility of YC/BC or BWI.

See my signature!! It's fun to try new ones, but there will always be a favorite!

I'm glad I've tried different places--Poly, CR, GF and YC--all have plusses. We stayed at CR and YC on 'business trips' so didn't get to make the decision. Just spent five days at YC and have to say I liked it the best. Nice decor (less 'busy' than GF), quiet and I really enjoyed looking at the BW, walking to and from Epcot, having access to Epcot restaurants for dinner, boat to MGM. Didn't really get to appreciate the pool due to SAB rehab. Liked GF a lot. Just liked YC better. Only down side is the bus (not the monorail) to MK. Had to do a ride on the monorail just for kicks on our last day so that it was truly a Disney trip.

After 1st. trip in 2001 at AS Sports we thought we would never stay anywhere else. The next trip I was talked into staying at POR AB for $130.00 more for the whole trip so I went with it-Oh my gosh! We now have a favorite resort. We have stayed their twice and absolutely love it. Last August we decided to try POP and WL and will never stay at POP again and although we really liked WL and it was everything we hoped it would be-it just didn't have the feeling that we have come to enjoy at POR-really down home and friendly!! However, if we are able to financially swing our trip next December we will stay at AS Movies to save $$. But if I could, it would be back to POR. I will just have to wait and watch for codes. :earboy2:
