I requested not to stay on the first floor. We are staying at POP the end of May. Do I have to call and check on the request or do I just wait and see what happens when we check in.

You can call and they'll note it on the reservation but they don't always grant it. We requested a particular building at POR and when we got there we got a different building. We asked if the request was on the reservation and she had to type in a few things to find it so perhaps it's not obvious on the computers? Then she told us that the building in question was not actually a building :confused3 until we showed her on the map that indeed it was a real building. It took us some time but we got what we wanted :thumbsup2

If you've already requested not to stay on the first floor, the only thing I would do is call one more time and make sure it's there. Then wait until check in to see if your request was able to be met.

If this was the only request that you made, your chances of getting this are very, very good. But, if you request to be in the 50s building, number 2, facing the pool, in a corner room, away from the ice machine but close to the elevator (not possible) with a housekeeper named Madge, well, your chances go down to nil.

We just got back from Pop Century and our only request was a king bed. We got that with no problems at all because it was our only request.
