Resorts in Jan/Feb

Does anybody know if the trees are less green in the winter in Florida? Meaning, do the leaves fall off of a lot of trees?

We want to stay at Port Orleans Riverside. One of the reasons why I love that resort is because it is so green. The trees are so beautiful. I'm assuming that is won't be that beautiful in Jan/Feb. Am I right? Could anyone suggest a resort that isn't affected by bare trees in the winter?

Lets see.....during the winter months (January and February) we've stayed at the Polynesian and the Dolphin.

Both times the resorts were filled with lush green plants, palm trees and even flowers!

You'll see lots of blooming plants! I think there are a few trees that probably lose their leaves, but most of the plants they keep around the resorts and parks stay green.

We were there in Feb. and I don't remember it being "dead". But after a winter in northern Illinois most anything would seem green.

Don't forget, Florida is a lot further south so they get their "spring" way before any of us!

I was just at WDW this past early February and saw the azaleas in bloom, as well as flowering trees in bloom! I even have some pictures of flowering trees on my CBR web site, and I commented on the fact that the azaleas were in bloom

I think WDW keeps their grounds beautiful all year round.

Indeed the grounds are beautiful year round. We've had trips in every month except July (actually came home July 1 this past trip), August and September. The trees and flowers are always gorgeous. The trees do not turn and lose leaves like ours in the north.

We visited WDW in early Feb. and were pleasantly surprised at the amount of blooming trees and shrubs. It was like a breath of spring in the middle of winter for us Northern folk! Everything was green and pretty.
